Following the critically acclaimed 2014 Game of the Year winner Wasteland 2, the RPG series that pioneered the post-apocalyptic genre in video games returns with Wasteland 3.

In Wasteland 3 you take command of a squad of Desert Rangers, lawmen and women in a post-nuclear world, trying to rebuild society from the ashes. More than a century after the bombs fell, you’re fighting a losing battle to keep your beloved Arizona alive. Then the self-proclaimed Patriarch of Colorado radios, promising aid if you'll do a job he can only entrust to an outsider—rescue his land from the ambitions of his three bloodthirsty children.

You’re dispatched on a desperate quest from the scorching deserts to the snowy mountains to start from scratch, building a new base, finding a snow-worthy vehicle, training new recruits, and fighting your way through hostile frozen wastes. All the while, you'll have to decide who to trust in this land torn apart by corruption, intrigue, warring factions, crazed cultists, cutthroat gangs, and bitter sibling rivalries. Build a reputation for yourself by making decisions that will profoundly impact Colorado, its inhabitants and the story you experience. Will you be Colorado’s savior or its worst nightmare?

Wasteland 3 is a squad-based RPG from inXile entertainment, featuring challenging tactical turn-based combat and a deep, reactive story full of twists, turns, and brutal ethical decisions that will keep you hooked whether you’re a Wasteland veteran or new to the series. Create a squad of up to six Rangers and customize them with perks and abilities geared to your playstyle. You even get your own battle truck, which you can upgrade into a hardened war beast, bristling with weapons, to help mow down your enemies.

M1 Pro/Max note: Apple users with new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips should note that there are known graphical issues when playing Wasteland 3. This appears to impact multiple titles built in Unity (the engine the game is based on), and is known by Unity and Apple to resolve at the engine and/or OS level. We do not have an ETA when this may be resolved. Until further notice we recommend against playing Wasteland 3 on the M1 Pro/Max chips. Co-op is an absolute joke

I've never seen a worse implementation of multiplayer in any game I've ever played. My friend and I are both on PC but I'm on GOG and he's on steam. You need to know you're IP address and port number in order to get a private game, so my friend and I tried to plug in our addresses to each other's games and nothing worked. We disabled our firewalls (like a suggestion from THE DEVELOPER'S FORUM recommended) and that didn't work. There are examples online of people doing absurd things like setting up a VPN together in order to play just a game together. We both tried setting up a public lobby just to see if we can see each other in the game and there's nothing. Not even random peoples' lobbies but literally nothing. The game barely pretends to refresh to lobby search and there's no way to access even public lobbies. It's terrible and I can't believe how mismanaged this is. The game? oh yeah its alright, there's better post-apocalyptic games and there's worse ones. But I can't get over the multiplayer being as bad as it is.

compared fallout 1

ok this is wasteland 3 its wastland game but it not feels you going alone to going big world. ı mean we start middle of huge fight and going another huge fight then go with map another fight with more experienced groupds of raiders. its cleary camera and textures better than wasteland 2 launch but this feels a combat game. like xcom game. instead of creating huge maps and one man story character like fallout 1. ı mean what is the rush you start a battle and in first base you got 4 members and go battles again. its tottaly diffrent feeking game. every one callings this thinking man fallouts now compared bethes ones but its not. its not fallout 1 story. new close camera of npc and some good ruin maps only element remender to fallout. ı have to say this ı dont care crap about rangers or being desert ranger saving people rebuilding bases etc. its not feel as brother hood steel game even. and wasteland 3 is good game but its not lone survivior fallout story like game.

No Old-School-RPG

I played to the end of the introductory chapter and I am deeply disappointed. Everything I liked about WL2 was botched in WL3. My criticism is mainly directed against the character generation, which for me is a central aspect of roleplaying. - Adapting the predefined character pairs is not possible. - The saved games are no longer stored as plain text. Changes via this way therefore exceed my skills. - When creating your own character pair you have no access to the better heads of the predefined character pairs and therefore (almost) impossible to create a character for which there is a matching portrait. - The meaning of the attributes was reduced close to insignificance. At the beginning the character has 21 points and with every level he get one point more. So with 50 levels (my level in WL2) you have 70 points in total. With 7 attributes this means that every attribute has 10 of 10 points - true heroes without weakness. The whole tricky/beautiful thing in character creation - the distribution of strengths AND weaknesses - becomes unnecessary. In WL2 a character had less than half of these points. - The skill points PRO level no longer depend on intelligence. Every character gets exactly 3 points per level! This also feels so wrong for me. - With the low number of skill points and the high skill requirements (in the introductory level (!) 2 points were sometimes needed) I asked myself which of the 22 skills are really important now. A question that the internet can of course answer for me. A pointless question, how I had to learn to my horror. As soon as the introductory level is finished, I can make ANY number of specialists for myself. Second or even third class skills like trade- no problem. The group comes into the camp, takes their trade expert briefly in the group and sells everything and then throws him out again. When I read that, it was enough for me and I started writing this review to protect others from making a bad buy.
