Description

Discover the grim dark universes of Warhammer where there is only war. From Warhammer 40,000 to Warhammer Fantasy and more - discover it all on GOG Warhammer Franchise page.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
‘ Omnissiah Edition’ includes the full game plus:

  • The atmospheric soundtrack featuring the highly acclaimed music of Mechanicus
  • The stunning digital artbook containing an array of new and previously unseen concept illustrations and art from the development of the game
  • Enhance your close-quarters arsenal with the hard-hitting power of the Arc Scourge.
  • NEW: ‘Deus Ex Machanicus’ by Andy Chambers - A Warhammer 40,000 short story – “On the dead world of Naogeddon, mysterious tombs, missing explorators and deadly defenders cause trouble for the Adeptus Mechanicus. But the biggest danger might come from within…”

May the Omnissiah protect!

Take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium - The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you’ll lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered Necron planet of Silva Tenebris. Customize your team, manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, and control your Tech-Priests’ every move.

Your every decision will shape the missions ahead and ultimately decide the fate of the troops under your command in over 50 hand-crafted missions. Choose your path carefully - the Imperium depends on it.

Augment

Flesh is weak! Upgrade your Tech-Priests with weapons, support items, Servo-Skulls and other mechanical augments as you assemble your cohort. Customize your team’s disciplines, choosing from multiple character classes to create a squad for every playstyle.

Unique Tactical Combat

Engage in immersively strategic combat that will test your mettle under the extreme pressure of the xenos ambush. Access your most powerful weapons and abilities by using Cognition Points and advance on your enemy without pause. Fear not, the Omnissiah favours the brave.

The Library of Immersion

A compelling story written by Black Library author, Ben Counter, specifically crafted to fit the unique personality of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction, with each character having their own personalities and agendas. Feel the tension and admire the devotion with unique visual effects and breathtaking audio.

Difficult Decisions

Make tough decisions that will forge the future from your Ark Mechanicus, The Caestus Metalican, and send you towards alternate endings for a truly unique playthrough. Be warned, however, the more you explore each tomb, the greater the rewards but also greater the threat.

Canticles of the Omnissiah

Collect in-game achievements and be rewarded with strong abilities that can be used once per mission to aid you in the heat of battle.

and so much more

Ave Deus Mechanicus.

By the Omnissiah! The soundtrack alone is enough to recommend you experience this game to achieve enlightenment. The devs did their homework with A+ (even S). How many 40K games can you list that make Tech-priests speak in Lingua-technis? I unironically converted to the Cult Mechanicum by the end of the game and hope we get an AdMech TES-like RPG one day, so I can proceed with the holy quest of discovering more STCs and cleansing hereteks of their sin of existence. Also, watch MandaloreGaming's intro animation. It is beautiful.

Bigfoot of WH40 Games or Quality Schlock

I admit that I have never played anything Warhammer or Games Workshop but it has always piqued my interest whenever I see it and after spotting Mechanicus on Youtube and perusing other Warhammer games on GOG, I can say Mechanicus is Quality. I also finished it and included a small treat at the end of this review. The graphics were phenomenal though I rarely checked out the obligatory game-pieces display view during combat. It all created the atmosphere WH40k wants to create, I assume. I loved the story, characters and the diverging story arcs of Videx and Scaevola. The music was top notch and downloaded before I even bought Mechanicus. Children of the Omnissiah is my favorite and usually on repeat when ever I am being creative. Like right now. The gameplay was functional although the cognitive system was strange. I mean, why does learning the Necrons like Nutella on their biscuits instead of butter allow me to move or fire my gun. That's what I imagine whenever the Tech-Priests say, "Fascinating." The game is easy as hell. Other's remarking about terrible difficulty did not read the descriptions of the Discipline abilities. Hint: get some of the basic abilities but specialize in Tech-Auxilium for those Canticles and the ability to complete missions in ZERO turns. Bugs/Features -Any ability with a "Use" submenu can be used infinitely, as long as you have the Cognition for it, like Overcharged Cognition. This requires 2 abilities with the submenu and that one remains unused and selectable. Simply use the ability you want to overpower, tap the unused or dummy ability and QUICKLY mouse over the OP ability. If it worked, the description for the used one should be displayed. If not, cancel, try again. I spotted the bug early but only learned to replicate it as a feature in the late game. -Dom/Exp give discounts for each others Amps for -2 Cognition. 4th time beating Szaregon https://www.dropbox.com/s/qrhv6e8cfbu5pct/Screenshot%20%2818%29.png?dl=0

Pure fanservice in the best sense

A fucking amazing experience for all fans of the Adeptus Mechanicus in WH40k; also good for Necron fans. I really enjoyed the gameplay, the equipment and the overall atmosphere. AND DAMN THIS SOUNDTRACK! Fucking good

The soundtrack alone is worth the buy

I'm barely scratching the surface of the game but I'm already addicted to the soundtrack, a very unique mix of modern electronic music, with wind organ, for me that alone was worth the purchase. The game itself plays like a mix of Darkest Dungeon and X Com. Visually is very appealing, even though it might not have the greatest models and textures a clever usage of graphical effects makes it a very good looking game, energy beams explode in a magnificent display of lights and smoke. Story so far seems very immersive and unique. Again I cannot even begin to describe how amazing the soundtrack is, I wish it had more tracks.

Shout out to Mandalore gaming and Kasedo

Finally, a good Warhammer game after quite a dry spell! If you ever wanted to really get to play the Mechanicus as the selfish tech plunderers they are, here is your chance PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH!
