Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

Firstly all these "spying/data mining" negative reviews are a joke. If you have an Apple or Android phone you're already giving up WAY more data than this game requires. Plus being that it's sold in Europe the Dev's can only ask for information that is relevant - like if it runs, performance and how much you play. If they "spied on you" it wouldn't be you that had to sue them but the Information Commissioners Office. Anyway enough about that. The game is great fun as a little multiplayer title. I played it on Gamepass for PC when it was free and I just picked it up in the sale to play again.

This is a reasonably entertaining 40K adaptation - not quite the table top experience, but it works out all the dice rolls which is nice. It does contain a game breaking / computer breaking bug though: Despite its incredibly low graphic fidelity, it constantly causes Windows to disable my RX 6800 graphics adapter requiring multiple reboots to re-enable it and losing any work that was open since it requires the computer to be hard switched off to get the monitor to detect a signal again. The game has been out for two years and this is the state its in? I can run Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 at the highest setting for over 6 hours straight, maybe indefinitely, but 5 to 30 minutes in this game? Time to fix the computer. I could never recommend this game to anyone until the devs get around to patching this disaster.

Units shoot through terrain, through ground, through walls, through rocks. It's terrible. Idk who designed this. They should lose their jobs. It's a good idea, poorly executed. Not worth a single cent.

Were they too lazy? Too greedy? Too incompetent? Did they just have total contempt for the customer, the person who signs their paycheck, the person who puts food on their table, a roof over their heads and clothes on their back? Instead of writing good AI, they just flood you EVERY TURN with unlimited enemy reinforcements. You get no reinforcements, limited resources, and after achieving a mission goal, when you're injured, spread out and weak, you are forced to eliminate every enemy unit from the map.....or else YOU FAIL. This game suc ks donkey scrotum.

This is the BEST game from W40K Universe!
