Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

It was fun, but I would only recommend it for people who are fans of the Warhammer 40K lore. I felt like the AI was the weakest point as even on the second hardest difficulty the enemies were not very smart.

I have this on steam and have to say what a top dog game this is. Really addictive, really immersive, with a really good campaign. And now with a new story DLC out this is a must have game.

Battlesector is a well-executed adaptation of the warhammer 40K tabletop game. The campaign that comes with the base game is fun and challenging without being impossible. The developers also released a new campaign and there are a fair number of decent community mod missions, so there's plenty of content for folks like me who don't play online.

I honestly had doubts because of all crap Warhammer games lately but I loved this one and I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out. Yes, I can complain about not having more customization option available but it has all the right units and every mission is a challenge. It has the Warhammer atmosphere, the fighting feels great and the units are very interesting and balanced. Space marines are cool and so are all of their upgrades and weapons so there are ways to improve them going through the campaign. While some missions feel easier than others you really need to consider your tactics carefully in some of the missions even on lower difficulties as the Tyranids are challenging and some of their units are very difficult to kill. A good mix of easy and hard missions. Most of the bad reviews seem to complain about data mining which I haven't experiencedso take them with a grain of salt. If you like strategy I would suggest you try it!

It's like my fav phone game - Warhammer Deathwatch. However, it has the good graphics and larger scope expected of a desktop game. I've only played the tutorial and 1st mission. Great game if you like tactical turn-based battles. The controls are pretty easy. The tutorials were short and to the point, and actually fun, which was a pleasant surprise. There's an option to opt out of Unity data collection on the last tab of the menu. I chose this over Gladius as I'd rather not deal with base building, and get straight to the battles. The persistance of the armies adds a nice RPG element.
