Description
While taking a break from playing a tabletop RPG, Daniel, an average guy from modern times, is transported to Harnakon’s Castle. Thinking that he is suffering from a hallucination, he decides that he is going to run the adventure for as long as the illusion lasts. As he explores the castle, fights the monsters within, and even casts potent magical spells, Daniel comes to realize that not everything is as it seems.
Unepic heroically combines open-world platforming gameplay with the intricacy and challenge of the RPG. Tweak Daniel’s skills to your heart’s content. Fight a bewildering variety of monsters, from the lowly goblin to the gigantic dragon, with over 100 different weapons. If forbidden magics are more your calling, then 70 spells and magical items will please even the most discriminating would-be wizard. Originally a PC release, the Wii U is a fine platform for Unepic, and it's another worthwhile addition to the eShop library. It can be quite frustratingly difficult at times, and the constant geeky references to everything from Star Wars to the worlds of Gary Gygax may not sit well with everyone – one particular misfiring side quest involving bureaucrats may be enough to turn off some gamers – but for those who enjoy old school platform action, this generously sized Spanish-crafted effort will be manna from heaven.

I bought this game with my friend so we could play multiplayer together because it seemed like a nice title. The multiplayer does not work for us even with firewalls off and no routers involved, the controls for this game are also terrible. The default controls are not comfortable at all, which means you have to tweak it all. And even then this game does not support mouse buttons for attacking. Its mmo style control scheme with 1-0 shortcuts, and you cant use your mouse to attack. I have already reached out to GOG for a refund on this game.

Absolutely Brilliant!!!!
So to start off, Im not really one for writing reviews. But I feel this game really deserves it. I grew up playing castalvania, metroid, mega man on the first nintendo. This game brings me right back to those days, its done really really well. The game mechanics are great. it handles well, there are plenty of weapons, spells and items as you progress through the game. You always feel like your moving forward, and being rewarded. The mix of humor and D&D rpg flavor is awesome for a game of this style. Im really having alot of fun playing this, for the few dollars I paid I feel its worth 10X that. I very highly recommend this game!
