Description
While taking a break from playing a tabletop RPG, Daniel, an average guy from modern times, is transported to Harnakon’s Castle. Thinking that he is suffering from a hallucination, he decides that he is going to run the adventure for as long as the illusion lasts. As he explores the castle, fights the monsters within, and even casts potent magical spells, Daniel comes to realize that not everything is as it seems.
Unepic heroically combines open-world platforming gameplay with the intricacy and challenge of the RPG. Tweak Daniel’s skills to your heart’s content. Fight a bewildering variety of monsters, from the lowly goblin to the gigantic dragon, with over 100 different weapons. Originally a PC release, the Wii U is a fine platform for Unepic, and it's another worthwhile addition to the eShop library. It can be quite frustratingly difficult at times, and the constant geeky references to everything from Star Wars to the worlds of Gary Gygax may not sit well with everyone – one particular misfiring side quest involving bureaucrats may be enough to turn off some gamers – but for those who enjoy old school platform action, this generously sized Spanish-crafted effort will be manna from heaven.

Beware of SJW Review Bombing
This is a brilliant platformer with numerous RPG elements, difficult and rewarding play. The list of reviews are obvious SJWs who have review bombed the game because they are idiotic snow flakes. The humor is crude most definitely, but it is supposed to be. This is another example of a hit job by a group of angry feminists throwing tantrums because they get offended easily. You can tell by the reviews that many of them don't know their head from their rears about gaming anyway as their reviews are some of the most ignorant comments I have read from people who claim they play games. I doubt many of them here have even played the genre of know anything about it. They are just here to throw tantrums.

Sleazy and gross
I had been playing for a couple hours through what I would describe as definitively mediocre Metroid-vania sidescrolling, when suddenly the game just became gross and misogynistic, to the point where I uninstalled it and will not play it again. First it was a side quest where I was awarded a magical axe for impregnating 3 goblin women, then it was the player character telling the only woman character to appear that he wanted to have sex with her. This game is crap.

Just Not a Platformer Fan
It probably has some good aspects that have been massively done before in more dimensions, but were it could of shined was voxel based rotating isometric (3 kingdoms kickstarter). As a 2d platformer though I find it a painfully horrendous an idea; in fact I would even go so far as to say I would rather relive days of your and play pool of radiance than try this game.
