Grownup Goonies w/Guns

I've been rationing my first playthrough to make it last, and I hope Sony releses the rest of the series because as a PC-only dude this is my first chance to play them. Superb in every element, but especially the pace and storytelling. Recaptures the epic and optimistic magic of Spielberg's legendary production run in the 80s, which may actually work better in game format. Having a wisecracking companion around makes you realize how lonely most characters are in other games, and how much the overall experience suffers for it. Not very challenging, but still 10/10

Good, but I excepted more

This is my first Uncharted game. I woud have wanted play the first 3 games first... but they are not PC. I allways thougt uncharted was most play serier, and like is if play orginal 3 games first. For me Uncharted 4 feels like a last dessert to the long time fans of the serie. Story is feels just like "fill up", story does build much on characters for allready develop over previus games. As for gameplay, I allways thought tomb raider (crystal dynamics) was cheaper copy of Uncharted that we PC gamers got. But I feel Tomb raider did much better job on gameplay. Uncharted 4 feels that games just holding your hand the hold time, it does not feel you are in control,l you just following a path. and gameplay often feels slow then flowing.Is a lot cinematics which is cool, but it should not overshadow the gameplay when it is a game. I do find cool that compaion are not stupid, for example they drive car by themself, so I don't need run back and forth through level

Very polished action adventure

If you've played 1 uncharted game you've basically played them all. But there's no denying that they are beautiful and have top tier voice acting and animation. This is very much like playing a good modern Indiana Jones type adventure...if Indiana used guns.

A bit like a classic adventure novel

I played the Uncharted 4 portion of this bundle only, and I loved it. The gameplay was meager; it alternates between linear platforming sections, linear puzzle sections, and less-linear stealth/combat/exploration sections. Switching between these prevents it from getting stale. What makes it great, however, is the story and production values. Unlike other games I've loved, I never wanted to play for more than an ~hour at a time. It was a bit like reading The Count of Monte Cristo: I always enjoyed it, but after completing a chapter, I was ready to put it down for the day. Further, once the Uncharted 4 story was over, I was satisfied; I didn't want any more from the Uncharted universe. I recommend it as a mostly-casual experience of impeccable videogame storytelling and audiovisual mastery.

Incredible game, shoddy PC port

I don't usually review games here, but in this case I'll make an exception to help raise awareness about certain caveats of this port, so here goes. First let me preface this by saying that Uncharted 4 is one of the most impressive games I've ever played. Unfortunately the 2000 character limit here prevents me from going into more detail why that is the case. Instead let me get to the point why I’m writing this review - Iron Galaxy’s port is just not good. If the only issues were that the graphics options menu is fairly lackluster and that the keyboard and mouse support doesn’t feel too good, I would still happily give this 5/5 rating and probably not bother with a written review. But sadly, there are more pressing issues. The most annoying problem is that the game is insanely prone to crash during shader pre-compilation step. This pre-compilation is not happening only after you first install the game or install new GPU drivers, there’s also a shorter pre-compilation step that’s going on each time you launch the game. This basically means on every game start-up, there’s roughly 80% chance of it crashing, forcing you to repeat the process until it finally finishes the compilation without pooping its pants. This meant that there were occasions where it took me up to 30 minutes to actually get the game running and that is just unacceptable. I have tried multiple workarounds based both on my gut feeling and the tips I found online, nothing helped. On top of that, while playing Lost Legacy I’ve also had a few random crashes during gameplay, I believe 2 or 3 total. And although that’s not frequent enough to be too upsetting in normal circumstances, especially given the forgiving auto-save feature of the game, here it’s compounded by the fact that each of these crashes then leads into multiple more inevitable crashes on game start-up. For context, played on Win 10, Ryzen 7 5800X and RTX 3070.
