Description
Aziraal, the god of fire, has fallen and the Dark Lord Gandohar is scheming as to how to disrupt the balance between the elements. Five long years have passed since the events of the first game and you, the hero, begin your adventure trapped in Gandohar’s prison. Now you must forge an alliance with your most hated enemy: the Orcs. You’ll have to put old enmities aside, reclaim your freedom. and save your sister in Two Worlds II.

In Two Worlds II: Pirates of the Flying Fortress, a band of fame-hungry pirates led by the legendary Captain Ed Teal, have become trapped in a cursed archipelago when their ship ran aground, where they will be damned to remain forever until aided by a hero with a strong back(that’s you) and a (somewhat) loyal disposition. Trust, after all, is no short sale in these cursed islands, especially not for a man tasked with finding the Treasure - an immaterial wealth said to manifest the beholder's wildest dreams.

The war has come home! While the bloody battle between Gandohar’s troops and the armies of the Orcs is raging in front of the gates of Oswaroth, the emperor waits in the depths of his palace on the outcome of the struggle for power. However, he does not know that an elite troop of Orcs, led by Rogdor, is making its way through secret paths into the fortress and is now close to the portals of the throne room. Two Worlds II: Castle Defense gives you the opportunity to slip into the role of the Emperor Gandohar and his henchman Sordahon! These villains from the "Two Worlds" universe are now playable for the first time ever in this strategy game, thus opening an entirely new perspective into the vast world of Antaloor. Using foresight and skill, you must defend abandoned ruins, dark forests, and winding catacombs against the onrushing Orcs. Ward off each attack with clever tactics and weaponry, defending Gandohar's throne in the Oswaroth fortress!

  • Two Worlds II Epic Edition includes the original Two Worlds II, the Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion, and Two Worlds II: Castle Defense.
  • Master crafting to customize armor and weaponry, brew complex potions, and craft unique and powerful spells.
  • Forge alliances and help out those who are need. Be mindful of your decisions as they can bear consequences with a further reach than you may realize.

Note: This game may require additional serial key for multiplayer mode. In case it is not automatically generated in your GOG library (open it via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), please reach out to our Support team.

Good Looking game world but...

some of the mechanics (eg Magic, levelling etc) take a bit of getting used to. I bought the game on disc about 8 months ago and discovered the WORLD'S WORST DRM. Once you register the game on their site you were able to play the game...once. Next time you had to, beleive it or don't - RE-REGISTER, Every time!!!!!!!! (That was my experiene.. which I tolerated about half a dozen times.) After that I simply uninstalled the game and put it into the "also-rans". I didn't think it was a bad game, just that the DRM p*ssed me off, utterly. If GOG haven't had this fixed, I won't buy (for the expansion)

Multiplayer perspective

I and a good friend have played many rpgs in our time, and many mmos too. Sadly missing from most rpgs is the option to play coop with a friend. This game addresses that with load of special coop missions that are challenging and well done. Considering how half-a***d some multiplayer extras are, I was impressed with this game. If you ever wanted to play oblivion with a friend, this is about as close as you could get. The game requires a unique network code to set up the multiplayer, but that is fair enough, I don't think reality pump wants to provide a load of online servers to a bunch of pirates. There must be 30 hours plus of playtime, and that is if you complete the missions. each one is HUGE and is in a new area. If you do not have any friends to play with, then you can join up with up to 8 others on the online servers. Way more fun than an mmo, imho.

Neither bad nor great

I played this in 2017 using the "HD" upgrade (Tenebrae). The graphics are OK for the age but there are clipping errors in the distance and motion blur while running can't be deactivated. Most characters/monsters are somewhat ugly and repetitive (e.g. women tend to look alike). The lack of eye candy stretches to architecture and world design. Quite a few low contrast scenarios ("Swallows", "Geographer's Mind") make it hard to see anything. Torches (which block one hand) and the single light emitting helmet just light your closest environment. The world is quite large but boring. E.g. on the desert island, more or less the only animals are rhinos, baboons, cheetahs and giant ants. Meh. There are several small islands to discover but they are either empty or only hold some generic enemies. The last island looks unfinished: only 10% used in normal story line and exploring it unveils only a few generic settlements of fish people. There's a fast travel system with additional teleporter stones but it only works outdoors. You can also use horses and boats but both is annoying. Riding needs repeated button smashing. Horses doesn't follow you and you can only call yours when it's near. Boats are very slow, get stuck on shores and there's no fast travel system. The core mechanics (skills, inventory, crafting) work quite well but quest markers don't. There are some annoying collection quests without any hints where the next piece could be located. The default keyboard layout is problematic: sneaking/running on the same mouse button and jumping/activating on Space. There are issues with voice/music volume where it's hard to understand any dialog in the (ugly) cutscenes even if the music level is off. The story is plain vanilla but with a stupid twist at the end leading to a totally annoying and stupid boss fight. The 1st DLC is a bit short but quite enjoyable. Finally at least a cool landmark (flying fortress) and a proper boss fight. Still, the world is somewhat empty.

Leaps and bounds above the original

I did love Two Worlds for what it was, but it had some glaring flaws. TW2 is quite an achievement and super fun to play. The story and acting is SO MUCH BETTER than the original. I have some gripes about the user interface, but they're minor. I don't think anyone could really compare the original game to Elder Scrolls and be taken seriously. But TW2 is up to snuff. Protagonist reminds me often of Geralt. Fantastic game. Must play for any RPG fan.

Give it a chance ,pls

Started it again with my gf , we both enjoy it ^^ there are some little bumper like crashes and bugs but nothing special. (Only real issue here are some mainquest bugs , better save enough old saves..). But besides that all these negative reviews focus on really small issues and completely all the nice things done great here: -magic and combat system -enviroment, graphics, armor and so on -its size , regarding world map , quests and so on u may need some time to get into it but believe me it is worth it, if u can life with some little bugs Also read about mainquest bugs there is one who got me at chapter 2 still i do not regret playing this game and i really, RECOMMEND IT
