Description
Aziraal, the god of fire, has fallen and the Dark Lord Gandohar is scheming as to how to disrupt the balance between the elements. Five long years have passed since the events of the first game and you, the hero, begin your adventure trapped in Gandohar’s prison. Now you must forge an alliance with your most hated enemy: the Orcs. You’ll have to put old enmities aside, reclaim your freedom. and save your sister in Two Worlds II.

In Two Worlds II: Pirates of the Flying Fortress, a band of fame-hungry pirates led by the legendary Captain Ed Teal, have become trapped in a cursed archipelago when their ship ran aground, where they will be damned to remain forever until aided by a hero with a strong back(that’s you) and a (somewhat) loyal disposition. Trust, after all, is no short sale in these cursed islands, especially not for a man tasked with finding the Treasure - an immaterial wealth said to manifest the beholder's wildest dreams.

The war has come home! While the bloody battle between Gandohar’s troops and the armies of the Orcs is raging in front of the gates of Oswaroth, the emperor waits in the depths of his palace on the outcome of the struggle for power. However, he does not know that an elite troop of Orcs, led by Rogdor, is making its way through secret paths into the fortress and is now close to the portals of the throne room.Two Worlds II: Castle Defense gives you the opportunity to slip into the role of the Emperor Gandohar and his henchman Sordahon! These villains from the "Two Worlds" universe are now playable for the first time ever in this strategy game, thus opening an entirely new perspective into the vast world of Antaloor. Using foresight and skill, you must defend abandoned ruins, dark forests, and winding catacombs against the onrushing Orcs. Ward off each attack with clever tactics and weaponry, defending Gandohar's throne in the Oswaroth fortress!

Fun for a while

This game is quite good, except a) it has a fairly bland and forgettable story, and b) it has the overpowered issue. It's the same problem I had with Witcher 3, in general I play these games on 'mega hard' mode because I enjoy the challenge, but ultimately it gets to a point where, unless I limit myself, I'm demolishing everything in my path to when it becomes a button pressing simulator. So that means I enjoy the first 10 or so hours of the game before the monotony sets in. But if you don't mind that sort of thing, this game (as many others have said) has a funand customiseable magic system. You should really go the mage route if you're playing this game - it's the most unique and fun system it has to offer (until it gets overpowered and you can basically instantaneously make enemies heads explode and summon a load of super-strength skeletons to do your work for you).

Unfortunatly..

mediocre at best. The controls, UI, etc. could NOT be much more awkward or unpleasant to deal with. The game touted itself as being multiplayer Elder Scrolls, but kinda fell flat on both regards. The game itself, if you can get accustomed to the very awkward control set and awkward character movement/UI, isn't *bad*, but it's just far too clunky for its time to be any real good. It is indeed multiplayer, just beware it's not easy to get used to by any stretch, and they really should not have tried to reinvent the wheel for UI/controls, as they did very poorly. The story isn't terribly remarkable, but not worse than many similar titles at least.

Two worlds was MUCH better, sadly enough

The good: Outstanding Graphics.. Great character/skill/spell development.. The Expansion.. There's an outstanding Mod done by little Neil at the Main forums that rivals even the excellent expansion! ...Uhh, that's about it... The Bad: Sound: The voicework was horrific, like they hired the kitchen staff from McDonalds..While the music itself was...Meh.. Story: Didn't know as I didn't play much of it to even care about it, plus it got lost in the mundane side-quests.. Setting/Game World: You spent the near entirety of this bore-fest on a deserted wasteland in the desert...Literally, while the most gorgeous part of the main map was cut off from single players and instead used for the multiplayer mode instead, the worse part, you can still see it not only on the map but in the actual game as well, WTF!? Conclusion: There are only 3 reasons why you should purchase this game... One, If you are a hard-core game collector, and you need to complete the series..(Like Myself) Two, To download, install and play "Version 1.4a of Worldmerge" mod by Little Neil! Three, The expansion, which you need anyways to play Little Neil's mod! Otherwise do yourself a favor, and don't waste any money on this game, unless it's under $5.00/€4.38 specifically if it's on gog!

Recommendable fantasy roleplaying gem

After the long main part of two worlds II I couldn't get through three missions of the DLC flying fortress after 5 1/2 hours of in game time of this DLC. You can use codes in the main menu to reset or finish missions, but I am not interested in beta testing a more than 8 years old DLC and therefore I deleted two worlds II from my hard disk. I will skip the other DLCs like Tenebrae. Two worlds I was superb due to his open world feeling. You can go everywhere you want. In two worlds II you will be babysitted everywhere you go. Videos are popping up here and there because good games need endless video material with spoken language. I found the story line boring like the desert landscape or the dark dungeons you will see most of the time. The music is not worth mentioning. The publisher was promoting his ingenious magic system. You can build you own magic spells with cards. Sounds good? Bad executed and not really spectacular. Why then 4 stars? The mix of melee combat and using spell attacks brought a lot of fun and the collecting mania worked.
