The Story
Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief have slowly come to the conclusion that having their lives commandeered by a powerful magical artifact is not a desirable state of existence on a permanent basis.
The heroes try to return their extraordinary gifts to the Artifact called Trine, and so they meddle with powers beyond their understanding: Trine shatters and a heartless ancient sorcerer escapes. With only a broken artifact to guide them, the heroes must try and repair the damage they've caused... or the damage that might yet be done.

I was worried the addition of the third dimension would ruin the gameplay, but good golly it made it even more beautiful! There was some really magical camera work that could not have been done in the earlier games. Every scene is a piece of artwork in itself! The Trine series consistently gives me a feeling of magic that I haven't had since I was a kid--amazing! The puzzles were indeed easier than the rest of the series, but I enjoyed that: they made you think, but they weren't hard enough to get stuck on. One star taken off because of length: it seems to end in the middle of the story, which was right about 5 hours for me. I was happy to see there were still a handful of people on multiplayer, even this many years later. Get it on sale!
All in all a decent game. Sure the lack of content which is making the game short is a bit bothering, but the gameplay on the other hand was really enjoyable. The story was well written and kept the joy- and playfull character known from the previous games. As for the levels in general everyone has his own tastes, I liked most of them especially because the 3D gives them a refreshing touch although I would understand if they would seems out of place (for a Trine-game) to others. Finally and what might be the most bothersome fact about the game to most Trine-fans is the complete removal from the Character-levelingsystem. But to be honest if the game doesn´t run for too long the leveling would have probably either been to fast or to lacking or both. Keeping that in mind does make sense why it´s missing.
In conclusion I would say the price does seem a little much but nevertheless if you liked the previous parts and enjoyed them then you will surely enjoy this one too.
Only plus side: nice art of enivronment. That's it. Everything else is horrible. Litered with bugs, short as hell, has less content than previous games, no skill upgrades or any sort of customization. Forces you to collect stuff which only unlocks levels, in other words: grind for progress. Had to replay a stage to progress.
EN/ES Trine 3 is a great third game that even when the experiment they tried to do making their great Trine in a 3D gameplay and 2.5 weird way. It's a great kind of game. Many people say is short, okay Trine 1 and 2 taked me around 20 hours, this one taked me 14 hours and 30 minutes, I taked the game with calm and I loved to play it. It does new stuff pretty interesting, and part of the essency of these games is to stop to look their beauty, the artistic graphics they do. Also, this game is nice to replay it with any friend at home or using online. This game it doesn't requiere high skills to learn and remenber it's super friendly even with young children. Many people criticate the game because is short and it is short and it hasn't an ending unfortunenly. This game is so great and hard to make it, that the developers as indie had really struggless to end the game, and they couldn't do an ending. It isn't complete the game. But even with this, take in mind trine developers is commong that every chapter, every hour you play, you'll see a hard level worked and a really beautiful scene, and gameplay is smooth, is super rare to find a Bug. Support developer's trine games. And even when this is the most weak of the fourth trine, it's absolutely a great game. And is crossplatform between PC, steam and gog are compatible to be played. (Also if you play offline version of gog, "Yeah Linux users, you can play online without launcher GOG"! )
On first I was thinking that game is't worth my attention, but after some time appeared on bundle in discount price. Game is short, add some new mechanics, it has gorgeous graphic but that was not enough for many funs of series.
