Description
Tomb Raider is a game that needs no introduction but if, for some reason, you are not familiar with the series, then these games are about the adventures of the beautiful, intelligent, and athletic British archaeologist Lara Croft. You might think that this job is mostly digging holes and dusting old bones. How could a game about that possibly be fun? Well, Lara Croft is anything but an ordinary archaeologist and her life is anything but boring. Lara Croft, tomb raider, occupies an interesting niche between Indiana Jones and Bayonetta: she’s a relic hunter who can kick butt and take names with the best of them.
When Lara ventures into ancient tombs in search for legendary treasures and forgotten knowledge, she must keep in mind that those responsible for safeguarding those artifacts didn’t leave them unguarded. The tombs are filled with deadly traps, bizarre monsters, and clever puzzles. Lara is not all looks, though, so she’s ready for the dangers that await. At her disposal is an arsenal of weapons from twin pistols, through all kinds of machine guns and assault rifles, all the way to grenade launchers and bazookas.
In the first game, Lara seeks a powerful artifact--the Scion--that seems to be the key to finding the mythical island of Atlantis. In the second game of the series our sexy archaeologist follows the trial of the mystical Dagger of Xian, which is a weapon used by the first Emperor of China, and it is said that by plunging the dagger into one's heart, the bearer turns into a dragon. The third part features non-linear gameplay, meaning you can choose not only the way in which you complete a level, but also your next destination in the story. Here, you fight against an evil corrupt corporation--RX Tech-- that has come into possession of a strange meteorite apparently imbued with unique properties.
Fans of action platformers, great stories, and timeless classics: good news! You don’t have to plunder any long-forgotten crypts to pick up the phenomenal Tomb Raider games: get them here on GOG.com instead.
right click on TR1 desktop logo -properties-open file location,
in the DOSBOX folder rename Glide2x.dll to Glide2x_.dll
Google ''zeckensack'', on the 2nd line, click on download 'here''
after install, in your start menu, go to glide wrapper - configurator, use global settings, try high res, 60hz, set resolution limit, apply, ok
All credits to zeckensack anddd ENJOY the game ! (also works for steam)
While I really enjoy those games I still only give them 4 stars because the adjustment of Tomb Raider 2 to modern Windows is badly done, if at all: The cut scene FMVs have wrong colors, and everything runs inside pseudo-fullscreen-windows instead of true fullscreen.

Still holds up
I first played these games back in 96, and any time I thought of replaying them, I was always worried about the nostalgia goggles, but this proved to be no issue as the games are still excellent, and are more akin to an interactive Sudoko puzzle than a videogame. It feels very refreshing simply being able to load up a game, and make linear, rewarding progress in each play session, without worrying about mods, patches, load orders, or any of the other niggles which very often hinder the enjoyment of more modern games.
TR1 you could say is the "purest" as it's just Lara, old tombs, and no modern settings.
TR2 adds more human enemies, and takes us to modern places (Venice) as much as old tombs.
TR3 is *much* more difficult than the previous two. The difficulty is massively ramped up by virtue of its sprawling, open ended levels.
The atmosphere and isolation of these games remains unparalleled.
Each game takes about 20 seconds to install. Be aware that the controls are keyboard only. You cannot use the mouse to look. But this is a very brief issue to get used to. If you do reconfigure keybinding, you'll need to switch to "user controls" each time you boot the game. It's a minor annoyance, but again you quickly get used to the routine.
F5/F6 is for quicksave and quickload.
Also, it helps to delete the company logo's from the FMV folders so you can boot straight to the main menu. Again, if you rebind keys, make sure to switch to "user controls" on each boot.
Works for me as of March 2022, maybe GOG fixed the problems mentioned in the other comments.
I will say there were the occasional bugs such as things not triggering and Lara falling through solid objects that can prevent you from progressing so you should make use of all the save game slots (don't use the same one each time), that way if you encounter a bug you can simply go back.
I only encountered one or two such bugs per game however so nothing serious if you make use of the save game slots.
Also use the left Alt key rather than the right Alt Gr key, in modern computers the game interprets the right Alt Gr key as Alt+Ctrl and can make certain moves impossible.
I'm very disappointed with this pack. I can't get these games working on Windows xp. The only reason I wanted to buy this pack from gog was that I don't have to hassle with the installation like with the original cd's. Every other game I bought from gog seem to work fine without the hassle and I was hoping these would too. Well I was wrong. Even I'm trying to get Tomb Raider 1 to work with Glidos the movies doesn't work properly and I can see borders appearing between textures and it's very distractive.
Tomb Raider 2 and 3 are having major graphics mess kind a problem. I don't know why and I don't know how to fix it. Maybe these games work better with windows 7 or 8 but for now I don't have newer systems. All games in this pack are practically unplayable out of the box unlike other games in here gog. Maybe I should stick with the playstation versions.
