Description
Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts have rather odd jobs: they give dying people another chance to live. Literally. Using a technology that allows artificial memories to be implanted, the doctors can weave and transform the mind of a patient to help them live the life they wanted to live...

To The Moon follows Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts' attempt to fulfill the wishes of a dying elderly man, Johnny. In their attempt to do so, they travel deep through the man's memories, unfolding his curious life story before their eyes. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the fragmented events that spanned a lifetime, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish.

Johnny's last wish is, of course, to go to the moon.

A Beautiful Tragedy

More a epic movie than a game, To the Moon honestly has the most complex, beautiful, and tragic storyline I've ever seen - not just amongst games, but also literature and film. The game is RPG maker-ish in its graphics and physics, which can be slightly off-putting but that shouldn't detract from the utter epicness. A beautiful soundtrack backs the story, which starts slowly, but is peppered with humour - One of the two main characters, Dr Watts, plays the comic relief which comes as an amusing mood lightener for an otherwise serious story. It all comes together in a brilliant way that will have you thinking about it (and tearing up) for weeks after. Even if you don't like games this is a must play.

Beautiful Game

I bought this on Steam awhile back after watching PewDiePie play it. I didn't buy it to play the game, I bought it to support the developers. The game has yet to be installed to my computer, however I know for a fact I loved this game. The ending was amazing, the middle was amazing, even the beginning was amazing. It will tug at your heartstrings and you will cry. If you don't cry. . .you have no heart.

A truly amazing visual novel

This game is absolutely fantastic. You should be aware, though - if you're looking for an actual 'game' you could be somewhat disappointed. Putting that aside, To The Moon has a wonderful story to tell you, and it's doing it through well-written dialogues, charming graphics, and both interesting and likable characters. The enchanting music also adds to the magic. I recommend giving it a shot for anyone who's in for a deep story, in a form of an interactive movie, which lasts long enough and is just in the right pace. With all that said, you also have to know that everything here is very simple - the gameplay mechanics, and the graphics are 2d, etc.. While I think that the simplicity adds to the magic, it has to be said that you won't get anything "fancy" like you sometimes see on video-games nowadays. The only reason that I gave this one 4stars, is because the gameplay became a bit tedious at some point- it's very simple and quite easy, but also becomes a bit repetitive during the first part of the game. Perhaps To The Moon could be a better video game if it had some more actual gameplay. You'll mostly look for objects which will make the plot go on. So, yes, this is not really a video game. This is more like a story. Bottom line- if you don't need fancy graphics, stressful gameplay, professional voice-actors and so on in order to enjoy a good and deep story, you should definitely experience this one.

It's not a game

It's not a game, it's not a novel, it's both at the same time. But i didn't enjoy playing (or reading) the game cause it was not both at the same time and because the story was not that good neither. If you are looking for that kind of "game" then buy it, if not, move along.

One of the best indie games ever

While this game looks and plays like a 16 bit era rpg with minor puzzles, it's phenomenal score, top-notch writing and mixture of humor with emotion will draw you in. It's rare that I've played a game that made me laugh, swear and want to cry all within about single level. I can't wait for the sequel!
