To The Moon

Really good game. Perfect story!

First of all let me just say this. I buy simple looking games like this for their story. On that front this game has one of the most emotional and well written plots I have ever played. The ending WILL make you cry. However the gameplay will be a little over simplistic for some people. Most of the time you are just making your way through dialog to progress the story, then looking for the items to set up the next plot point, rinse, repeat, enjoy the emotional roller coaster you are about to go on. Again, I came for the story, and I think this game is well worth playing if you are looking for something special in that department. But if you're looking for complex, thought provoking gameplay, go play something else.

To the moon tells a lovely story. Opposite to some "Walking Simulators" this game has some game mechanics, but neither are they challenging nor do they change the outcome of the story. "To the Moon" is an great alternative for watching a movie. Sit down, start the game, explore the area, talk with people, and enjoy the dialogues, music and story. Meanwhile pick up some items and solve some puzzles, so that the expirience won't be to passive.

This is more of an interactive story than it is a game... but it is a truly beautiful work of art and I was moved by it. If you are looking for a classic RPG, this is not it. If you are looking for a heartbreaking narrative, this is it.

I loved this game, even though it was more like a story. It was definitely an emotional tearjerker lol. My only negative is its a shame they had to put a few swear words in it as my 9 year old daughter would have loved this. Could have widened the audience range without the swear words. Great little mystery in the story along the way and the reveal is where the tearjerker comes into play.
