I'm sorry, but this is 2018, not 1998!
I will update my review if and when this ever gets officially fixed, meanwhile I am very much hoping for a .ini workaround or something: I will be honest with you: I haven't played the game yet, despite having pre-ordered it -- why? Because despite the Unity Engine having native support for proper Ultrawide/WQHD resolutions like 3440x1440 for example, Thronebreaker for absolutely no apparent reason whatsoever refuses to run in 31:9 Ultrawide. Instead, the highest possible resolution I can select is locked at 2560x1440, which effectively means that I cannot play in actual fullscreen mode, but only with massive vertical bars left and right. For any legacy game with an older engine, that is perfectly acceptable -- but a brandnew game published in 2018? That in turn is a major disappointment, thoroughly keeping me from being able to enjoy the game at all -- especially even more so for knowing that the engine, Unity, supports 31:9 Ultrawide resolutions natively and without any problems whatsoever, a number of Unity engine games run perfectly fine at 3440x1440... so why not Thronebreaker? Why did the devs intentionally decide to lock these resolutions out, to not go through the relatively small effort of scaling the UI for Ultrawide? As I said in the title: this is 2018 -- not 1998.
