Just great
Amazing storytelling, perfect visual style, pretty good strategic card battles. 30 hours of pleasure guaranteed. The only one problem I found is that sometimes it is hard to understand if you are able move through something on the world map. And character control feels a bit not responsive. Other than that... what are you waiting for?

Combat
I like this cardish thing combat system, sometimes it's a little bit confusing, but overall the game is great with its witcher atmosphere and all. And the story is written brilliantly !

Superb storytelling, subpar gameplay
Thronebreaker tells a compelling story about convincing and interesting characters, but the gameplay, both inside the battles and outside of them, is a mind-numbing slog. You're tasked with collecting meaningless heaps of resources to the point that you're drowning in them, which in turn render all the "ethics at hand vs resources for long term success" similarily meaningless. You can also invest some of that ridiculous amount of resources into improving your camp, which makes your already overpowered cards even more boring to steamroll the opponent with. Also of note are terrible optimization issues when the AI is looking for a move - more frames dropped than rendered on a reasonably powerful PC. Mostly a sign of bad programming because nothing about the card gameplay is realtime.

Very well made, couple of issues though.
Let me start off by saying this, I do not reccomend this game if you haven't played The Witcher 3. You will not understand a lot of things in the game to the extent that the game assumes you should and you won't have the same connections to characters and locations as someone who has played The Witcher 3. Secondly, ignore the reviews of manchildren crying about the money they spent on Gwent(I spent money as well). They are simply leaving 1 star reviews because they feel cheated and you're reviews aren't being deleted because they are negative they are being deleted because you are not reviewing the game you are spewing unecessary hatred try READING the guidelines before you post. REVIEW To me the game is very well made, the voice acting is incredible, the writing is superb, the art style is well done, and the characters are very interesting. The gameplay isn't bad but there are clear issues with it. I do not understand why they think tradional GWENT players would like this 3 card system which is just a worst version of the actual GWENT game. There is also a resource system in the game but it's done very poorly, you run around collecting piles of wood when your a playing a freaking Queen! They also could've polished the encampment system, it's very bland and feels like a mobile game upgrading system. The movement is also quite awkward, I feel like they could've visually made it look like you're actually commanding an army because in the game you're just running around as Queen Meve, a singular unit. This game to me feels very much like an experiment as this company knows the basics of a RPG story incredibly well and they experimented with the gameplay. Unfortunately, I did not like the outcome. The game feels like it's not done and I would give it a 3 star if it wasn't for the price. 30 dollars is not bad for what you get, like I said it's still visually and lore wise a fantastic game. You will want stop playing because of the gameplay but stay for the story. 4/5
