Even if you don't like the genre (or are not a fan), thief is undoubtedly one of the most relevant piece of videogame industry due to its technical implementations and ImmSim(-Ish) features. For every videogamer out there interested in playing pivotal points of this industry, Thief is a must.

Fantastic stealth gameplay and a clever story that still holds up today. Garrett is a memorable and witty character, and his adventures in and around The City make for a riveting experience. Thief II is the high point of the series thus far, but Thief Gold and Thief III are both must-plays as well.

A game that would grant you fun for the rest of the year, a game that you won't get bored with and that will give you creeps and chills. And fun - hours and hours of fun. A game that will ruin your social life and turn you into the creature of the night. A game that you will remember for years to come. Can you imagine that? Well - you've found it. Thief was quite ahead of its time by being a stealth based FPS along with its beautiful graphics as well as brilliant cutscenes. I just love the mood the game creates, especially with the catacombs you go into that are crawling with zombies and evil spirits that don't like anyone going down into the tombs to loot the treasure.

This was one game that I thought would never make it to GoG. I'd heard the source code was lost. Seeing it on the list is too good to be true. Thief and its sequel are the last of their kind. Stealth games where each player can find their own path through the sprawling, mazelike levels. Even playing through the game for the tenth time, I was (and am) still discovering new paths and ways to navigate through the game.
