Thief™ 2: The Metal Age

Thief II is phenomenal, a masterpiece. It is dated now, so if you don't wish to play older games or just generally aren't into stealth games, it won't do much for you. HOWEVER, if you are a fan of stealth games andor are looking to check out the classics, Thief II is a great game. It would be a good idea to play the first Thief beforehand. Probably the best aspect of Thief II is how it achieves immersion. The cinematics tie in with an organic storyline which tie in with Garrett, who is easily relatable. When you are playing, you are there. In my opinion, Thief II is more of an extension of Thief I. They fixed bugs, improved level design, and streamlined some gameply. It's a great great game. Try it out (it's like $1 on sale) and if you can "get into it" within the first two levels, you are going to like it....a lot. =)

...for years. I'm a huge fan of stealth games, probably my favorite genre ever, and for years I ignored the Thief series. Because it looked old, because I thought the mechanics will be dated. Wow. Was I wrong. Not only the presentation still holds up, but the gameplay is actually the best stealth experience I've ever witnessed. It's full of mechanics, full of tension, and it has simply THE BEST level design I've ever seen in a stealth game. It's truly genius. It feels real, immersive and at the same time it plays just phenomenally. And that sound design. THAT SOUND DESIGN. You will become fully immersed in this genius game like in no other game. Simply godly game.

Take the first game and give it more detail, but graphical and gameplay

One of my favorite games of all time. Great stealth experience.

The second in the series that pioneered stealth gaming. Still a favorite of mine, and my 5 year old daughter's as well!
