The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

I played this game all the way back when it released on my xbox one, I played the hell out of it until I eventually sold it. When I saw the GOTY edition was on sale for £10.49, it was an offer I couldn't refuse. This game is beautiful and it is well optimised and runs perfectly. I have only had one crash and I'm about 8 hours in to gameplay, but other than that it is perfect. Buy this game, seriously. You're missing out on quite possibly the game of all time.

Amazing card game! Absolutely love it! The story and the monster hunting minigame gives it a nice touch.

What on earth are you doing reading this review when you should be playing the game already. Be warned though, you will never look at games the same way anymore.

I just install it after 3.5 year for play it game+. Now, I have enought strong PC to run it everything ultra-max-max-max graphics. This game is amazing, still one of the best looking game in the market and lightning fast on my rtx-2060 middle range card. Those guys just did amazing job! The game itself is super, but usually after 3.5 years the gfx getting old but not this one. I just finish Jedi fallen order some weeks ago, that is a nice and fresh game from a large powerful money maker game factory, but man how ugly the characters compare with witcher! I really looking forward the cyberpunk 2077, that will be stunning!

I play The Witcher 3 since it was released and never get tired of it. Graphics are very nice (even for a 5 year old title), sound is excellent and it's a game from which you can learn a few things. But even after more than a thousand hours of playing it only gets three stars since there are a few things that the developers could have done better. #1: the difficulty of quests. It's okay to have many side quests but it happens that these are often either too simple, too easy or too difficult. There is no continuity, it is more trial & error. #2: some things appear to artificially constructed. It's okay to have twist and turnarounds but some things can be simply foreseen and some quests would have earned some fine tuning. #3: Some logical issues. There are times where you are unable to equip specific items from your inventory so you have to wait for a cut scene or something other to happen. Also some totally simple contructed enemies have to power to kill your character with a single strike. Sure you can adjust the difficulty but that's nothing more than a workaround for an unnecessary issue. #4: Especially in combat with multiple enemies or within close quarters the controls suck a little. On the one hand the devs reommend to fight with a mixture of fast and slow attacks as well as with evasions mostly work. But sometimes you simply have no space to avoid. Combined with parts from #3 some fights are more like a lottery and only frustrating instead of joyful. #5: The quality of translation: I usually play the game with german language enabled and although the tranlation is very good it would have been nice not to hear a mix of different recordings during a single cutscene and not decrease in the sound quality or the voices during the change from the main game to an Add-On. But at all it's a game worth to be played. I only hope that upcoming titles do not have such issues.
