The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

I stopped playing after reaching the first big city because there's so much to do. So many quests, so many characters, so many plot lines to follow... Other might enjoy sinking years into this, but I got a life. PROS + Huge world + Interesting characters + Good quests + Content for YEARS CONS - Even though I bought a graphics card for it, the game was very slow and choppy. After a day of reading support threads, I went for the settings that did the least harm and just accepted the bad performance. Disappointing. - For all the skills and stances and intricacies of combat, it most often comes down to button smashing. - It's impossible to tell where you can jump and where not. The world is not readable in that regard. See next bullet point. - In "A Towerful of Mice": where did the wraith go? Why cant I climb on top of the cages or pull me up? Am I able to get up there or is this just decoration...? Not readable. - When every woman is beautiful, none is.

Amazingly written and smooth like my bald head.

This is my 2nd Favourite game. Graphics, story and gameplay are all fantastic and right up there with the very best. The game is as hard or easy as you want it to be depending on settings and choices. There is a lot of freedom to what you like to do. My favourite game is Cyberpunk 2077 and 3rd favourite is kingdom come deliverance. But this is definitely my 2nd favourite and so easily deserves a 5 star. I am hoping that CD Project Red and Warhorse are able to continue to create great new games in the future also.

Best part is when Geraldo T. Witcher kicks open the Vizima palace doors and yells "It's Witchin' time!" then does a slo-mo flip as he Aards everyone as they're Igini'd into Yrdens. Witcher 3 was the first game I played where the graphics were good enough that I fully felt emotion come through the characters. With the seemless transition to dialogue from idle animation(vs cutting to a speaking shot), it was definitely a league above on storytelling. The open world design, fighting style, and even the quests have all been copied for "default action rpg" in a ton of games. Replaying at it again with the next-gen update, the improved control scheme and graphics enhancements make for a great experience. I think the difficulty has been upped a bit(or I just suck more now), especially early game. Even though I've played W1 and W2, looking at it on its own, it's still a bit of a lore dump, and I think the initial setup is kind of clunky. But once it gets going and flashbacks ensue, things become a bit more clear.

"THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT" sees us in the end of a journey, not only for the titular character and his group; but also for the developers at CDPR, and the many improvements built from the previous two games. Improvements that make this game one of the most impressive, deep and almost endlessly replayable titles RPGs have to offer (and that includes its Expansions and multiple DLCs). And although not perfect (with its bloated open-world design), its strengths far outweigh its flaws, making it seem damn near close to perfect.
