An enjoyable but buggy 3rd entry
The Pros: The story is engrossing and fun without being overly dramatic or overly campy. Its primarily the story that saves this (very long esp with the expansions) game from being burdened by the grindy repetition that takes down other RPGs. The player will regularly find him/herself in lose/lose situations that compel some real thinking. I strongly advise against seeking out an online walkthrough when presented with these choices - there is more fun to be had here in roleplaying and multiple runs as opposed to attempting a "100%" single run. The game itself looks great. There is a reason CD Projekt Red won awards on this game. Even on the lowest detail settings, the backgrounds are incredible to look at, the lighting is great. Its clear a lot of work went into the look of the game. The Cons: As great as this game looks, the *feel* of the game is frequently frustrating. Combat in the game is fun and stays fresh even when fighting the thousandth Water Hag. But just about every movement between combat is grating. You spend a significant amount of time walking and riding a horse between areas and every step of it is a headache. I made the mistake of playing this game back to back with Red Dead Revolver 2. With RDR2, riding a horse is *fun*. Here, the horse will get stuck on unseeable details in the foreground, bringing you to a full stop from a full gallop. You can run at a full gallop into a wall of fence without moving. Everything about it is bad. So bad that I will usually rather walk even long distances than use the horse if I can avoid it. Walking is also annoying. Character clipping is frequent. Everytime you get anywhere close to an NPC, the NPC emits a grunt, groan or complaint, so wherever you run there is a soundtrack of "Ooo" and "Err" that gets extremely old. Adding insult to injury, the game includes occasional platforming sections. Despite the headaches, I've put in dozens of hours into this game and I'm still playing it. Strongly recommend.

very addictive and very good game
this is probably the third time I've played this game. and each time the script in the game is untwisted in different ways. very interesting. interesting plot. especially "wild hunt" and "hearts of Stone". the plot is excellent... this game is 100% masterpiece.

Where Can I Start on this One!
If Gothic Gold is a novel, then Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition is Lord of the Rings! This is not a game called Witcher, it's a simulation OF a Witcher! It's not one game, it's a new episode every time you sit down to play! I NEVER got tired of it! Each new village or city, every strange cave (on land and under water), a plethora of monsters, and if you take the time to watch the video, you'll see there's plenty of low-lifes to be taken care of...permanently! This game is like a painting, where you finish, then wonder if you should add one more stroke of the brush, only to stop mid air as your hand moves toward the painting, because you're not quite sure where to place it. A Masterpiece! I'd like to see what CDProjekt could create with a smaller canvas but the same amount of detail. Oh, I suppose some salivate at the adult content, but I'm here to tell you that the entire game is a blast, and you can make it through without a single sexual encounter. I didn't have time for that. I was too busy moving on to the next story, the next monster slaying, the next "capital punishment" at the hand of the Witcher. Plus it's hilarious to see the reaction when a pass is made and you brush it aside. Stay true to Yenn, and keep it behind closed doors. I was actually sad when I completed the game, including both expansion packs, yet felt that the content ending as it did was just right. Sort of a great turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffed dressing, corn on the cob lavished in butter, where you eat just enough to the point of relaxation with a cup of grog and a smile on your face. Don't miss this game! It's a defining point in gaming history. https://youtu.be/vSdz6JAbToc Just highlight the above then hit Control c, place your cursor in your browser and hit Control v, then hit Return...and enjoy!
