The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

Did I have fun playing this game? Eh kinda. A couple things I needed a walk through guide for some important objects. There's a little too much entanglement in the fetching of things. Some people like that sort of thing. I found it a little silly. Before you can help NPC 1, you have to get something from NPC 2, which requires something from NPC 3. What saves this game from a lot of frustration is the fast travel. That helps a lot. I don't really like the resolution at the end. Left deflated from that. It's a pretty good story, better than I could do. The dialog is quite good.

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow is a well-made point-and-click adventure game with a suspenseful story, well-developed characters, and atmospheric setting. Fans of Kathy Rain will love it.

It's very easy and the story is somewhat predictable when you're halfway through but it was still very enjoyable.The setting, characters and suspense all made it a worthy purchase, if you can get it on special for under $10 then it's a steal.

El juego recrea una atmósfera muy particular de miedo y misterio ambientada en la Inglaterra de comienzos del XX. Recuerda a películas como The wicker Man 1973 o a juaegos similares como The Last Door. Aunque los escenarios son un poco vacíos el pixel art y las secuencias cinematográficas logran su papel. Muy recomendable para amantes de las aventuras gráficas con toques de miedo. Ojalá incorporen el Español como idioma para hacerlo accesible a un mayor público.
