An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. Your journey will lead you to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil and massive, epic-sized dungeons, where strange and deadly creatures await you, including goblins, lich lords, and the mysterious Fabricants.

Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves... just to name a few. You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Good.. Not 20$ good

While I have a love/hate relationship with Bethesda and their products, my review is not biased by that. The game itself is the definition of a land mark title. It has an important place in gaming history. Even for its time it was impressive and ambitious. Ultimately it was not a perfect game but this is a case where its scope and ambition helped to make up for technical prowess. It does suffer from graphics that did not age at all, Being a little TOO open ended without providing the player nearly enough guidance to keep the content moving along. However most these issues revolve around what it was attempting to do in emerging graphics, hybridizing gameplay mechanics and other ambitious aspects that would become a corner stone of gaming Yet for how "good" and important the game is, there is one simple truth about it. It is 2015.The game is twelve years old. While Im one of the first on the "its new to me" bandwagon, It simply is not worthy of a 20$ MSRP. This is not GOGs fault. It is Bethesdas fault for having unrealistic expectations of the value of their product. The base cost for even a digital download elsewhere is consistently around 12 USD. New Physical copies can start off as low as 5$ Even though it seems to technically still be in print, the game is within the realm of "Yard sale pricing" with how widespread it is, the fact that it CAN be bought and played used, and how old it is. So to see Bethesda expect the same price for morrowind that they want for Skyrim LE is not only perplexing, but illustration of a problem the gaming industry has that Bethesda has been historically at the forefront of. A good game, and an important one. Though ridiculously overpriced for what it is as the product would only merit a base MSRP of 10$ with sale pricing for it being more appropriate to around the 5$ mark. Ill purchase the game a second time for the DD/PC format, but not until a sale price drops it down to an appropriate price.

Great Game

Morrowind it's a great game. The only Con i've encountered is that it doesn't have a quest marker nor there is any mod for it. Nevertheless i want to thank GOG to give us the chance to know better older versions of the Elder Scrolls Series

There is no Russian language.

Hello CD Projekt RED.I'm from Russia and was upset to see that the game does not have the Russian language.I would not install third-party programs to Russify the game, but if you installed the Russian Localization from Akella, I would be very happy. Thanks for your attention!

It's big

Morrowind, the game with the list of flaws bigger than most entire games. First, the good points. The world is huge, and unlike earlier games in the series, it's an actual hand-crafted world and not generic procedural garbage. There's something amazing about being able to explore and explore without running into artificial walls all the time. You can be tens of hours into the game and still discover new interesting places. The weather system is also nice, even though you can't take shelter from the rain because it passes right through solid objects. I also like the freedom to explore the entire world, learn all skills, and max all attributes, complete most of the quests, and do so with a single character without having to restart the game. Now for the flaws. It's a long list, so I'm just going to focus on a few of the big ones. The npcs are very generic. You can talk to a lot of people about a lot of subjects, but you're going to get the same generic answers all the time. Often the answers won't even make sense in context. Ask an important npc about "someone in particular", and they'll start talking about themselves in the third person. Apparently the writers working on the game were too busy writing far too many in-game books to bother with the dialogue. There is also really no way to play a heroic character, or even a neutral character who has some line that they are unwilling to cross. Well, you can just not do quests that offend your moral sensibilities, but you can rarely outright refuse to take them on. Refusing to complete quests often cuts you off from large chunks of content in the form of future quests, and it clogs up your quest list. And then there's the level-up system, which punishes you for using your class skills and rewards you for focusing on non-class skills. It's not a complex system, but it is completely counter-intuitive, and it punishes casual players while making the game too easy for min-maxers looking for a challenge.
