Description
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition includes Morrowind plus all of the content from the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions.

An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind offers a gameplay experience like no other.

In Tribunal, you journey to the capital city of Morrowind, called Mournhold, to meet the other two god-kings of Morrowind, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. Your journey will lead you to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil and massive, epic-sized dungeons, where strange and deadly creatures await you, including goblins, lich lords, and the mysterious Fabricants.

Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves... just to name a few. You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.

  • Players can take their existing Morrowind characters and save games and continue their adventures in the Morrowind GotY edition
  • Adds up to 80 hours of new gameplay and quests for current Morrowind players
  • Explore the forests, caves, and snow-covered wastelands of the island of Solstheim
  • Delve into new, epic-sized dungeons and visit the Capital City of Mournhold and the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil
  • Fight new creatures including bears and wolves, lich lords and goblins, ice minions and spriggans

Favorite RPG of All Time

I've spent several hundred hours in Morrowind--more than any other single player game. I made dungeons with the editor, played it in the back of slow college classes, and even got my girlfriend hooked on it. I've trained skills until I had infinite flight or invisibility, and I've slowly walked hundreds of in-game miles to explore the old fashioned way. I've bought morrowind three times: once when it was new, once as the GOTY edition on disc, and once again for Xbox. I'll be buying this one when my computer finally croaks and I need to get a new version for a computer without a disc drive. The only downsides in this game involve the systems underlying the game: once you understand how leveling works, it's hard NOT to be a powerleveling min/maxer. If that doesn't bug you, or you're able to resist doing it until you've beaten the game, GET THIS NOW.

One of the best!

One of the best (western) RPGs made. Same league as: DeusEx 1, Kotor 1/2 , Oblivon , Skyrim, Fallout NV, System Shock 2, Witcher 3 If you like one of the above give Morrowind a try, maybe install some mods and give it 2-3 hours to get used to the fighting ( it is not as bad as people tend to say, just different in the beginning and nearly the same as Oblivion at the end).

Incredibly Immersive.

Unlock or bash open any door or chest. Kill any NPC. Ruin or avoid any quest even the main storyline. Create your own magic spells and Fly, jump Sneak or Run anywhere you want to go. no hand holding, no fast travel and no quest markers. With an immersive although dated system this RPG is an amazing experience for anyone with an imagination. Just remember that your character skills matter more then just mindlessly smashing at opponents. Also has a long history of great mods.

one of the greatest games of all time

this game has it all, and has been the standard to which i've held (and been disappointed by) every other RPG. morrowind is incredibly rich and compelling and i don't know why other game studios don't try to rip it off more. it's the kind of game that hooks me from the start. i love the mysterious beginnings bethesda titles always have. in this one you're an anonymous prisoner aboard a ship, and the story begins unfolding and developing immediately. the gameplay is absolutely perfect. while in later bethesda titles, you could just fast travel everywhere, in morrowind you still had to travel the hard(ish) way - by foot, silt strider, and teleportation by the mages guild. there are countless destinations you can only reach by walking. i'll admit, when i played oblivion & skyrim i was relieved to be able to fast travel. but after revisiting morrowind again recently, i find it so much more absorbing to have to walk and run around and actually listen to directions NPCs give me. here is an incomplete list of things that are just perfect about this game: ~character creation & subsequent relation to leveling up - if you are unfamiliar with the mechanics of elder scrolls games, you might sink 10 hours into this game before realizing you need to start over with a more finely tuned character. that may sound terrible, but it speaks to how incredible the character creation is. ~rich storyline in the elder scrolls mythos ~easy, compelling gameplay & controls ~awesome graphics for its time ~item, spell, and enchantment creation - limitless in scope, absolutely stunning and such a thrill to finally compile the "perfect" suit of armor that you can tailor based on your character's strengths and weaknesses. ~replayability - playing as different kinds of characters will completely change gameplay and quest availability ~open world - absolutely necessary in my book to be considered a great RPG bottom line - if you think you love RPGs, you must play this game.
