Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure

I'm just in Day 2, but wow it's truly a very good sequel for now. Picture quality is truly good, it makes FMV goes to heaven. Graphic quality, not good/not bad at all. There's some low res textures, but that's not a problem at all, it add a little bit retro feeling about it. Music, is very nice. The Main theme is more hollywood than others games but it feels like someone who get knocked out few times by Life still standing on his feet and saying "i'm not dead yet, i'm back and the fight is not over" Acting, can't say because i didn't much people yet but it's as good as the old ones so good point. I'm truly fond of all the easter eggs about Mean Street/Overseer, UAKM and Pandora Tomorrow, don't see Martian Memorandum easter egg yet. For now, you truly succeded in making Tex back. You didn't betrayed the spirit of the IP, it's feels the good old 90's with the improvements of the '10s (therefore, i sincerely miss the old HUD of Pandora Directive). All of BFG people can be proud of there (their ?) works. Day One of the game's release was handle pretty badly, but now water under bridge and if next time it's handle in a better way i would be proud to be a backer again. By the way, i found the hommage to Kevin Jones very beautiful. I didn't know he passed away but now he got a building with his "name".

This game is just awesome. It's exactly how it should be. P.S.: I want more FMV's!

This is exactly what I was hoping for. Been waiting 15 years for another Tex fix and this game delivers. Awsome!!!

I love classic adventure games (hence my constant lurking on GOG). I am a to-the-core Myst fan, but Tex Murphy also has a special place in my heart for the sheer, LOL-humor of it. It's detective noir that doesn't take itself too seriously (for the better, I think!). This game really worked for me. The puzzles were fun, just challenging enough (no pointless code-locked doors, puzzles with no clues, or a lack of clear direction--RHEM, I'm talking to you!). This game had me laughing all the way ("how about a little menage a trois?" *smack!*), and the story really sucked me in. It's the characters and the story that make Tex Murphy shine, and the FMV makes it feel like you're watching a movie. In many ways, it was like getting to walk around inside the Bladerunner movie. Chris Jones as Tex is fantastic, and while some of the other actors can be a little wooden, it's all in good fun. I especially love that you can solve the game all on your own without needing a walkthrough. I almost never had a "what the hell am I supposed to do next?" moment. If you like classic point-and-click adventure, this game is for you.

Good old Tex Murphy with better graphics and interface.Must have for any FMV games fan.Better than walsking sim adventures.
