$0.99 to learn that I'm bad at poker.

So I paid 99 cents to learn that I'm bad at poker, which I think is well worth the investment. I could have learned this on a cruise ship and came home with nothing. So let's talk about the game. It's short. Everyone starts with $10,000 dollars. There are always the same four opponents and they all have a unique (but always predictable) poker strategy. Their jokes start to repeat after just a few plays and the difficulty isn't that high. That's pretty much it. The voice acting is good. It's worth 99 cents to scratch the poker itch.

Funny, but not poker

The only reason to play the game is the characters. They have a lot of funny lines. They represent the standard poker game tropes: There's a tight player, an aggressive player, one who bluffs too often, and one who angle shoots. You start with 50 big blinds, but they increase quickly and the AI's decision making seems to be totally random at times, meaning you will have to catch a lot of cards to win.

Great little game

You play Texas Hold'Em, I wish they had a save game to come back later, Achievements and more money in your hand to play longer, great game to learn about poker

Cheap but good little poker game!

So you filtered by price, and this one came up...is it worth it? For $0.99 (or your nations equivalant) the answer is YES! Its basic Texas Hold'Em Poker, with no variation to the games (except skipping the NPCs jabber). But, each NPC has a different style of play. Yes, you can bluff most hands and scare them off...most of the time. But you will appreciate the personalities after a couple of play throughs. The graphics are dated, but the game should play on most Windows machines...and it's fun! (if you like Texas Hold Em, that is). You can play a hand or a whole tournament, whenever you desire...for a low price. So don't bother waiting for this to go on sale, unless you are tight on funds. And if you don't know how to play Texas Hold em Poker already...this is a great learning game. This is one of my go-to games when I have 5-10 minutes to kill.
