Love it

Funny quips, decent variety of 'em, too. Could be a little more fluent in the load times for turns but eh, it's an old game. Love the AI's behaviour as it's surprisingly hard to predict. At times you can see a bluff a mile away, other times you'll call what appears to be an obvious bluff only to get dunked on. If you care about texas hold em in the least, give this a go. Not like you can go wrong with that kind of laughable pricetag. Only thing I can criticize is the dealer. Then again, maybe it's just my rotten luck. Also, give us the Poker Night at the Inventory games already. I know, I know, licensing fees for borrowed characters are expensive. Just crank up the price, not like modern games are worth wasting money on anyway.

Not a hand, but a bluff and a bet!

Paradoxically, this game may show you a more human face of poker than playing online with real people. Here you can see the role of bluff, bet, and the style of play of individual players. It's also a fun way to learn the rules of the game. Sure, the dialogues become repetitive at some point, but for a few tournaments it really adds nice layer to the game, which you won't find in quick online plays; it helps you realize how cool this game may be in real life, sitting face to face with friends. For the price – it's worth trying. Unfortunately there's a game-breaking bug and from time to time the game just stops – it does not hang, but you cannot make any action to make a new deal; you can nothing but quit the game.

Telltale Texas Hold'em

I've played numerous poker games including a few WSoP and this has the best AI out of all the games I've ever played. In WSoP whenever you try to bluff a NPC they always seem to know that you have a bad hand and will call you every time therefore losing every hand you try to bluff on. All other poker games I've played are the same. In Telltale Texas Hold'em when you bluff they sit there and stare at you as if trying to pick up a tell and will think about whether or not to call. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't meaning that it's actually possible to win a hand by bluffing. The only 4 problems I've got are; 1. The same 4 opponents. Would be better with more opponents and a wider variety. 2. The same venue. Would have been nice to see different backgrounds each game. 3. No save game. Don't always have enough time to complete a tournament so I have to quit half way through. 4. No stat tracking. Would have been cool for the game to keep track of your stats. Some other poker games even keep track of what hands you win more regularly so you know what hands are your strongest. Each of these issues delete a quarter of a star but I think the AI is excellent enough to give it a great rating. My fave poker game

Fun little poker game

I've played the more modern Poker Night 1 & 2. This one however is quite as due to the small file size, the game loads very quickly and you can start playing almost immediately. The characters are also quite colourful just like the modern versions by Tell Tale. Overall an enjoyable experience. I won on my 2nd time playing it! Hehe.
