Description

This game includes Teleglitch: Die More Edition and Teleglitch: Guns and Tunes DLC

In a cold, dark future dominated by mega-corporations, a small lonely planet on the edge of habitable space is the site of a shadowy research facility specializing in necrotic tissue reactivation. You are a scientist who has suddenly awoken to the realization that you are the lone survivor. The rest of the facility’s personnel have all been killed – micro-chipped and reactivated as combatants by the facility’s central processing AI.

Teleglitch: Die More Edition is a roguelike top-down shooter with retro pixel graphics. Featuring procedurally generated maps that change with each play through, you will never experience the same facility twice. Clutch your gun, walk down the dark corridors and enter each new room hoping those last few rounds of ammunition will be enough. Feel the anxiety, the paranoia and the sheer terror of Teleglitch.

Key Features

  • Over 20 types of enemies to combat
  • More than 40 types of weapons and items
  • 10 levels that radically change their structure every time you play
  • 10+ hours of play time (it gets harder the further you get)
  • Detailed database with full dossiers of each monster
  • Scavenge random equipment to craft new and deadly gear like The Can Gun (empty can + nails + explosives)
  • A sinister narrative filled with greedy military corporations covert experiments
  • The risk of permanent death creates an atmosphere of fear and dread

The Die More Edition features:
  • 5 bonus levels
  • Additional items and weapons
  • Upgraded and more deadly enemy AI
  • Expanded dossiers and lore content

True GEM that you need to check

I own this one on Steam and I finished it at least 5 times already. Its a hardcore survival rouge-lite with top-down perspective. It has atmosphere that you can cut by knife, awesome movement mechanics and very unique style that provides truly unique experience. Gun-play is awesome, crafting is awesome, dodging zombies is awesome... just buy it and check. What an experience!

No suspend feature kills it for me

I thought exiting so I could go cook dinner and do chores would suspend the run and resume where I left off, but after restarting found that the save was just completely deleted and I had to start the entire run again. Except I didn't start another run because I'm not wasting further time with a game that's stupid enough to not have a suspend feature. Should be pretty obvious that even in permadeath games people might need to stop playing for a bit to do things that are more important than video games.

Really challenging

You will die a lot just to get used to shooting with different weapons and learn how different enemies behave. It got so frustrating in the end that I ended up cheating and I still managed to die repeatedly. Yeah, if you think dark Souls is hard, you should try this game out.

Permadeath for Redemption Complex Babies

NOT RECOMMENDED. The game uses cheap permadeath kills as a crutch and for not giving you any benefit from dying, it becomes a pure bore with no incentives. A proper roguelike is supposed to give you something to keep playing to offset the dullness of dying. Even that mediocre Unity game Black Future '88 got that right. Also the two-digit price point for a seven year old indie with no attractive content is a tall order with most 1990s games that look just like it have long since turned either free or out-of-sale abandonware. For example, Assault Trooper, of Finnish origin. Even Aleshar let you save to offset the perma-crippling and permadeath. Avoid Teleglitch at all costs. Save your "permadeath dread" for the work time - the legends claim you can earn money on the side.
