You're a renowned hacker, the most notorious cyberspace thief in the corporate world. Caught during a risky break-in, you become indentured to a greedy TriOptimum executive. After six months in a healing coma, you awaken to the twisted aftermath of a terrible disaster. Where are the surgeons? Why is the station in such disrepair? Slowly, the chilling realization that something is very wrong creeps over you. Once a prime corporate research facility, Citadel Station now teems with mindless cyborgs, robots and terribly mutated beings, all programmed to serve SHODAN, a ruthless A.I. There's scarcely time to think before it unleashes the first terror...

Good, but need some fixes

I can't say much about game - it's System Shock one with new graphics and modern game engine. Just go and read reviews about SS. But I really hate control in this game. At first, mouse movements. When I move the mouse, there is a slight delay. It's frustrated on zero smoothing, and when I set mouse smoothing more than zero, it becomes unbearable. At second, sometimes mouse have no reaction to LMB in battle while I move. I don't click repeatly like mad robot, I just want to hit the enemy over his head. Please, developers, do something with this! Bad mouse acceleration and control input lags is not good for this game.

Demo is bugged

For me the demo is unplayable. I have tried downloading it from all three sources and I am still getting the same problem. For some reason the sound effects in the game are bugged. As soon as I start the demo I hear a loud and continuous buzzing noise that is not only incredibly loud but also distorts the music and voice acting bit. The only thing that fixes it is turning the effects off. But that still leaves the music distorted and the voice acting unlistenable. I have never had this problem with any of my games on steam before. If any of you have a suggestion on how to fix that would be greatly appreciated. I really want to back this but I cannot in good conscience back something when the demo is broken for me.

UNITY ENGINE = Nope.

I don't get the hype surrounding this. While it is an Alpha demo, they ARE using this as proof for Kickstarter money. I found the performance very laggy on a machine (which is expected from a Unity engine game) that can play the new Doom pretty much at the highest settings. I get that it's a demo and buggy but frankly, unacceptable if they want my money. Halfway through the lead pipe stopped working. Everything feels very tight and the sense of scale isn't right. Also, as soon as I fired up the demo and saw the Unity symbol I laughed. Give me a break here. Create an engine or license the Unreal engine and get to work. Asking for 1.2 million for a Unity engine game is an embarrassment. Again, license a 3D engine that is worthy of my time and I'll buy, but I refuse to play games built on the pile of trash that is Unity.

Intense experience

All I have to know now if enemies is respawning constantly or not (or if you can disable respawn). Well, yes, it is part of atmosphere of the game, but it is a bit too much for me in shooters. Well, actually enemies are not too hard here anyway. And you can stealth around. And still it is something. Something really close to original. Even if maybe easier.

Very Promising

For a pre-alpha demo, this is very impressive. Combat works about as well as I would want it to, and the game looks great. The atmosphere is spot on. I did have a bit of a stuttering issue occasionally, but this is a very early build and my computer is far from high end anyways. I normally don't back kickstarters but I am considering this one.
