System Shock

An ok game. But fighting the same enememies over and over that keep spawning in the same corridors does get boring at some point.

Grab this polished classic if you're into the genre and like deep atmosphere, an interesting story and got some love for a retro feel. This is more of a remaster than a complete remake. I was a bit sceptic when I read the reviews first, as I was afraid that Night Dive stayed much too true to the original. Without having played the original I must say that for a 30+ years old game, this feels surprisingly refreshing. A clear 5/5 for me.

Nightdive has knocked it out of the park again. This is almost a beat-for-beat remake of the original System Shock. I am truly amazed at the incredible attention to detail of how the original game played. Personally, I believe this is the definitive way to experience System Shock. If you have never experienced this game, get this version. The only reason to not pick this up is if you are one of the neckbeard boomer "purists" who think anything new or updated is evil and lacks creativity.

yup it's good in all of things but - quest line is not easy to track - lvl design is so confusing ! -super frustrating to manage and use best weapons !

You know in your head, you picture 90's gfx, and you think man those days were awesome. But then you fire up original doom and it's soo grainy you can't even see? This game IS the rose colored glass image in your head. Perfect blend of retro and new. GFX are great, gameplay is fun, and story, while only in drips and drabs is solid. I love this game. Just buy it already.
