Subject 13 is the new adventure game developed by Paul Cuisset—the man behind "Flashback", "Future Wars: Adventures in Time" and "Moto Racer"—in partnership with Microïds.
Play as Franklin Fargo, a quiet physics professor who has led a bitter existence ever since his fiancée died in a holdup in which he was supposed to be the victim. One morning, he wakes up in the middle of an abandoned scientific facility. His only link with the outside world is a voice that calls him "Subject 13".
Subject 13 will make you travel from a secret base that has been abandoned to a strange and mysterious island, and in other places, so you can discover the real story. You'll have to muster all your insight and intelligence for this daunting challenge.

The story and ambiance are good. Having an Hint button is useful . The controls are not that easy, the 3D views by puzzles and objects makes the game control too heavy. The 3D is however nice when looking at the landscape.
I couldn't understand the puzzle with the monkeys at the end of the game, and the big minesweeper was a funny idea, but it was so big and by each error, it was resetting, that was frustrating.
the controls are not the best, one time I wanted to open lids, but couldn't, so I looked it up to see... yes, I need to open the lids... I was lucky to finally get a ladder where I wanted to place it... for the Mayan puzzle, I would have liked to see the numbers on the handle a bit better, but it worked out... and thank you for letting the final puzzle stay the same mine sweeper game for each trial... I only wished I could have marked the "bombs"...
several puzzles were easy and straightforward... others were not so clear on how to get it done... and sometimes I had no clue what I should do next... but I'm not great at puzzles...
I didn't like the story... or maybe it was the method for telling it?
From what I gathered, what's going on on this island is (way) more than just an experiment gone wrong. But the player can't do anything about it. I hated that the most when I had reached the end. I didn't have a choice for anything (probably too much to expect from a puzzle game after playing RPGs; just ride the train and enjoy the environment, I guess). If I were to think about the ending, there would be way more questions than answers.
Subject 13 is a nice little game, possibly to short. All the puzzles in the game are logical and solvable. The final puzzle is just frustrating and its possibly designed that way on purpose.
I'm a big fan of the Cyan/MYST and Quern type games and was hoping this would be similar. I gave up trying to play it after a few minutes. The navigation is unresponsive, impossible to figure out how to move and why you move randomly without any input when you do. I'll be looking elsewhere for a MYSTlike experience.
Play on Open Suse leap 15.5 (linux) with wine... Runs well.. I like the graphics they are very well done but this game seems to be still in development.. I am a portals player.. so when it started I had high hopes.. I hope the devs keep working, this could be a nice game... the Ai needs a little more interaction. I was impressed with the game even though the reviews were bad.
