Steelrising

Bought it on steam. Has some technical issues, mainly performance. But I was able to adjust settings so I get a stableish 55-60 FPS @1440p on Ryzen 3600X and an RX 6700XT. Had to use FSR which is a bit hidden in advanced options, and I strongly recommend to switch off raytracing it helps a lot. Overall don't expect elden ring but still it's fun and the setting is great. If you don't want to fuss around with video settings then wait a bit for few performance patches or wait for a discount later on.

After playing all the Spider Games starting with Of Orcs and Men,Mars War Logs, The Technomancer, Bound by Flame and Greedfall i know what to expect from Steelrising. The game is build on the same combat system as Greedfall. In Greedfall the rifles were OP, and this is case also with SteelRising. It's a Souls Type of game but easier. If you invest points in the right skills you will become OP in the shortest time. Best weapons are the grenades/Charleville Musket. I played as a Dancer maximizing alchemy, agility and vigour and some points in Durability/Engineering and Power. In the first part of the game i used Nemesis Claw and late game i used Franklin Claws. The game was very easy compared to other Souls like Games. The combat was fluid and simplistic. If you master the dodge/stamina metter and time your atacks corectly you can beat any moob/boss in a heartbeat. The major problem of this game was the optimization.I played the game on an Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2021) Amd Ryzen 4800H and RTX 2060 and 16GB ram at 1920X1080. I played with details at medium/DLSS on balanced and the perfromance was horrendous when i reached Paris. 60 FPS with deaps in 27-3O FPS. Not a pleasent experience. This game is verly poor optimized. I decieded that i need to make an upgrade and i buyed the ASUS ROG STRIX G15 (2022) Amd Ryzen 6900HX and RTX 3070TI , 16 GB Ram.I played the game in 1920X1080 with everything at high/DLSS on quality, and details at Medium at a constant 90 FPS with dips in the 50 FPS occasionaly. This game has a bug, and even if you reduce the sahdows in order to increase the details to high the game will stutter because even if you are under 8GB of VRAM the game will increase after 5 minutes the amount of VRAM from 7,5 GB to 8.2 GB for no aparent reason.I hope that future patches will solve this. Other than that i enjoyed the story, the scenery of France Revolution in an alternative universe. The game is short (20H) but i really recomand this game. 8/10

This game sets out to be a compelling souls-like but keeping the identity of the studio and being apealing for a broader audience than the original franchise from which it takes inspiration, and it succeds at doing so. Steelrising has an interesting, interconected, area-based world which is pretty as it is well thought to tell the story of what's going on. The story seems very interesting and is bound to bring some twists here and there. Technically speaking is where this game has surprised me the most, it's refreshing to have a game be so polished and stable on day one. In all my hours of gameplay I've had 0 crashes, 0 framedrops and not a single game-breaking bug, all bugs encountered are minor visual ones that have 0 effect on gameplay. The gameplay itself is really interesting and if you wanted Bloodbourne for PC, then this is a good replacement for the time being. The combat is simple but fun, with not many damage types but all fun and interesting to use, many weapons of different kinds that make killing automatas amazingly fun. This game takes the best of soulslikes and mixes it with your usual action-RPG kind of game, making it accessible for far more audiences than your usual souls-like games, specially since this developer understood what make these games so compelling and beautifully translated it to their own style. All-in-all, a really fun game with good visuals and an incredible polishing by todays standards. If you like souls-likes then this is a must get. If you like action RPGs then this is definitely for you. If you don't like souls-likes I'd say it still will be fun for you since it irons out many of the usual rough edges this genre is known for.

I normally do not play soulslike games but this game caught my attention the moment it was announced on GOG because it remained me of one of my most favorite games ever Dishonored. So I wishlisted the game and yesterday when the game was released I read some reviews on Steam and decided to go for it today. I only played the game for an hour but I do like what I have seen so far. I think I will have a lot of fun playing this game. I am totally sold on the mix of robots and French revolution. I think this is such a cool idea. The game seems to be fair in the terms of difficulty. Reviews are correct that this is game is for people who are relatively new to soulslike games. The last soulslike game was Bloodborne on PS4 and that game was unforgiving. Owners of ultrawide monitors will appreciate that all cutscenes are in 21:9 aspect ratio. In terms of performance, I get about 60FPS with ray tracing enabled on 1440p monitor. (My PC is 5800x and 3060Ti) with DLSS set on auto. I recommend this game. It is awesome to see this game released on GOG on day one. Just for that I want to support publisher.
