SteamWorld Dig 2

I was in the mood for a relaxed game, something to play while listening to music or a podcast. It was exactly like that but even better. Some criticize its monotonous gameplay, dig dig dig, pickup minerals, sell, upgrade, back to digging. The developers did improve from the first game and it is much more interesting. Because it is short (finished it in 4-5 hours) I would recommend buying it on discount, which is what I did. It is totally worth it though,

This Platventure is much like its predecessor, and it does what it does well. Again, you'll have to think of it more like a puzzle to make sure you're able to get everything. It does a good job of letting you know how much you have left to find, too. By the end, if you play your cards right, you can absolutely BREAK the game, which is always fun; you've earned it by making it that far. The soundtrack is great, too.

Once again a game that I really enjoyed and is almost perfect, so I was a bit sad when I reached the end. While playing, I kept thinking of the game Ori, which has certain parallels. (Learning skills, discovering new areas and solving puzzles) I also found the puzzles good and solvable, which is unfortunately where most games fail. I solved 99% of the game, but I have no idea how to find the final secret, so a hint would be useful, which is also my only criticism of the game. A green checkmark appears at the entrances when you have found all the artefacts, but secrets can still be there, so it makes the search for the last percentages almost impossible or at least not very motivating.
