Plunge into the depths of STASIS: BONE TOTEM, the latest installment in the STASIS anthology.
A new story, new characters, and a new underwater environment to explore.
Follow Mac and Charlie, a husband and wife duo, who make their living scouring the ocean for salvage. But, when they stumble upon an abandoned oil rig in the Pacific Ocean, they uncover a horrific secret that Cayne Corporation will do anything to keep hidden.
As you embark on your adventure playing Mac, Charlie, and their trusty Super-Toy, Moses, you'll encounter an immersive narrative filled with spine-tingling horror and unexpected twists. Combining the thrilling storytelling of STASIS and a tense underwater setting, STASIS: BONE TOTEM offers a personal story that will test the limits of family resilience.
Navigate through a massive underwater base, complete intricate puzzles, and solve an ancient secret concealed at the bottom of the ocean. BONE TOTEM features the same isometric, point-and-click gameplay that made STASIS a classic fan favorite, but with a new cast and a unique setting that will leave you gasping for breath.
With stunning visuals, a music score by Mark Morgan, a screenplay written by a Hollywood ace, voice acting by veteran actors, and a gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat - STASIS: BONE TOTEM is a must-play game for horror and sci-fi adventure fans.
So what are you waiting for? Dive into the unknown and uncover the BONE TOTEM beneath the waves.
A little long in the tooth. Some of the writing was a little self-satisfied or verbose. I really enjoyed the story. Owes a pretty heavy debt to The Descent by Jeff Long. Overall an enjoyable experience.
I went into this game wearily, as I only liked the original Stasis and hated the sequel, Cayne. But this is hands-down one of the best adventure games I've ever played! Some of the puzzles are a little unintuitive - no moon logic, just a lack of info - but there are hints that pop up after awhile, and there are fewer near the end to match the pace of the story.
One caveat - this game is dark. There is one sequence near the end that genuinely made me queasy, and there are a host of disturbing imagery and lore to be found. It was worse than anything a AAA studio will attempt, even Dead Space.
If you're at all interested, try it out. It's only $20, and it took me around 12hrs, and I was using the guide to speed through it.
It's weird that I've completely missed the release of this game as I thought it was more high profile; and I've been expecting it for a while. Well it didn't disappoint. If you've enjoyed the first Stasis you'll get more of it (a lot more; I mean it's a long game for a point&click). Visuals; voice acting; puzzles; music everything is top-notch. A lot of self-contained little stories told through the PDAs and set pieces; and a big and complex overarching story (too complex?). It is a dark and disturbing game. Yes a few gripes; it's an ambitious game; maybe too much as there is a lot going on (specially at the end which feel almost like a DLC). It's a bit dark at time and it's hard to know where you can walk or not (the ping system helps with this; it tells you what's interactive on the screen); or to see what's going on at all. I missed several paths during the game that got me stuck for while. Puzzles are pretty logical and well thought out; but not on the easy size, and sometime several characters needed a similar thing but there is only one way to do it for each; which was a bit confusing.
overall great experience.
This game really is a highpoint for point and clicks from the gameplay side for me, with interesting puzzles, a solid hint system, and a great way of detecting objects so you don't spend tons of time chasing red herrings. The writing and especially the voice direction are top notch, if you like horror and point and click adventures, I can't recommend this game enough.
A dark adventure that will suck you in from start to finish. A well thought Sci-Fi theme, set more or less in the same universe as the previous Stasis ans Cayne games and sharing the same potent atmosphere. Puzzles are good and logical overall. Sound is excellent and graphics is good but really dark thorough the whole game. All in all I really enjoyed it.
