STAR WARS™ Rebellion

This game is truly a fantastic game IMO. The only aspect where LucasArts could've done a lot better is the tactical combat part. Just a gigantic box where you can only zoom in and rotate around the middle so it's difficult to actually zoom in the part where the action is actually taking. The one mechanic which I found annoying is the fact that randomly at some point, there would be a environmental disaster on some random (occupied ones only I think?) planet which would limit the amount of buildings you could build on that planet. it's a shame you could never disable that. Other than that, I've always done SP, never MP, so the only thing I can say is that I really liked how the SP was. I always played the longest games (with the most amount of star systems), resulting in thousands of in-game days per sessions, since I love marathon games (just like marathon length games in Civilization games. I never understood why this game was so underrated, since I loved (and still do) this game so much. I can only hope that, one day, they will make a great remake of this game.

I have everything from my original boxed game, and I legacy-ed it through several PCs before a sudden drive failure ended my Rebellion-era 4x gaming. And now it's back. I've logged quite a few hours with it now, and it runs generally bug free, though it has crashed out once or twice. The other reviews accurately capture the game; if you like 4x and Star Wars--this is for you.

There should be a remake with the current technology enhancing the story, battles, diplomacy, politics and character's interaction.

Greatest game i Ever played onmy PC (the only on,e i played most is WoW but not thje same). At irst i had grpahical issues but now it work well. - I go direct to the reb.exe file - Right-click properties - compatibility - Run this program in compatibility mode : win98/SE - Run in 640 X 480 screen resolution - Run as administrator all else is unchecked ANd the it works perfectly ^^ Hope it'll work for others too

Hi all, if all your pictures are upside down and with the wrong color, try this: Set compatibly mode to "Win98/Me" and change color to 16-Bit. Works fine for me on Win 8.1 64-bit
