STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II (Classic, 2005)

This is perhaps one of the best Star Wars video games ever made. There is so much content and many ways to play how you want to play with the various classes for each faction of the game to allow for us to play the game any way we want. The heroes and villians are a nice added touch, as well when you gain the ability to use them, too. Even hero assault mode on Mos Eisley Tatooine where we can play as any hero or villian depending on the side we choose to play as is epic. The online battles with the restored online functionality work really well and are fun to play in them with other players. I have this game for Playstation 2 and the original PC CD-ROM release for this game, and this game for GOG is still just as good as the original console and original PC releases as well. I bought this game again to play on the online multiplayer servers as I got the Playstation 2 and original PC CD-ROM copies after the previous online servers were taken down and sunsetted. To be able to play on these restored servers after the original servers were shut down has been a blast for me to play. If you are a fan of Star Wars and want a good classic tatical strategy game to play, I recommend this game for any Star Wars fan of the Star Wars franchise. I give this game 5 stars. Highly recommended.

BEST STARWARS GAME EVER!

there is a fix to the crimson drivers problem in the GOG forum sections for this game. I am running this game on the newest 16.7.3 drivers and with th patch it works like a charm and very easy to make the fix. this game is better than battlefront 3

great game to revive, just wish multiplayer was a little more stable and smooth but hopefully these issues will be resolved soon. these issues aren't game breaking, the game is still fun and some hosts/servers are better than others but with a little love this game can go a long way and it goes without saying that a lot of people will support this game to improve it even if no one else does but we would all prefer official fixes and updates. also some say that the GOG version is more solid than the steam version, i have both but i prefer the GOG version because i would agree it "feels" a little bit more solid could be wrong though. i would say for some reason if you D/C (or fail to connect) from a match on steam you are often unable to log back into (or refresh server list) your account in multiplayer and are forced to restart every time but the GOG version never does any of that.
