Just the right difficulty!

We have a too easy and a too hard so I'll pipe in and say it's just right! ;) If you just play one or two runs you might think the game is impossible... but once you unlock a few things and figure out how the cards work together you'll be winning enough and losing enough to keep it interesting. Especially if you turn on the mode where it gets progressively harder for a character every time you beat it with that carachter. There are 4 characters and each has several themes you can make a viable run with. Yes card draws are a bit random but with the pick 1 of 3 style they have you can usually come up with a viable strategy most runs. As with any of this style of game there will be times you get screwed by random chance... but if that turns you away then anything that says "roguelike" in the description is probably something you should avoid. If you have any fondness for deck builders and roguelikes, then this is a very very solid game.

i first played this on the switch

and is one of my favorite roguelik(t)es, very simillar to into the breach as your main objective is to avoid the intention of your enemies while attacking at the same time, also has A LOT of customization like ITB and very interesting daily challenges

Most Enjoyable replayability

This game really good. The Replayability and variety is very fun and you dont feel as you are overpowered with a pretty god power creep balance.

Feel No Pain.

This is a very good deck builder, very addictive, and you can create amazing combos and synergies with the cards. Plus, the game has a lot of personality, which is something that doesn't come around very often in this particular scene. However, truth be told, in the final act, no matter how good your deck may be, two bad draws in a row might be all it takes to undo your entire work. C'est la vie, I guess.

Addicting Rogue-Like Deckbuilder

Many games are inspired by or try to imitate Slay the Spire but I am not sure any have reached the level of simplicity, depth and addictiveness of the original. The game is in the rogue-like format where dying sends one to the very start of the game with none of the previously acquired items. The game features variety of strategies for its four characters. Adapting play to the cards and relics of the run is essential but some runs will wind up doomed by bad card availability RNG. The power of card synergies can be intoxicating. The different encounters while climbing and unlocking new cards between runs bring just enough spice to keep things interesting. The graphics are a bit simplistic but very readable and get the job done. The visual effects can be very satisfying. The music gets repetitive quick, but the sound effects do a lot of heavy lifting in selling the impact of attacks. The pacing of the game is superb. Battles hardly ever overstay their welcome and the game keeps moving forward constantly. The difficulty is also just right to not feel impossible while keeping it challenging enough to make it to the end. Most importantly the game manages to stay fresh enough from run to run for one to go for just that one more run even after tens of hours of total playtime.
