Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

I'm going to be honest. I didn't find the game fun, the loop is boring to me. It doesn't feel like you are in control of much and in terms of any writing it felt shallow to me. I was excited by the idea but regret paying for it. I didn't find anything I did in this game to be interesting. That is not to say that you can't find a game like this enjoyable, it may have something for you. But it didn't have much for me. It appears to have a loyal fanbase, but the reviews seem to be made up of people who played the previous games and enjoyed those. So from a new player, I can't recommend this game.

Six Ages is an excellent game that improved the experience I had with KoDP. You lead your rider clan through a tumultuous time of their history as the gods war and die above you. The gameplay flow is straightfowards without feeling simplistic and you have a lot of options to solve the challanges facing your clan. I found it to be an improvement over the origonal with the choices avalable to you being less fiddly and feeling better to use. The setting is really interesting and the game does a good job making it understandable. All told Six ages is a good game that I recommend to anyone looking for a narrative based strategy game with a rich setting.

Wonderful art, engaging gameplay and great prose. A worthy sequel to KoDP!

I put in dozens of hours in King of Dragon Pass trying to bring my tribe to the end of the game, memorizing tales of the gods to get an edge on rituals, carefully exploring the world with guarded caravans, and navigating tense relationships with my neighboring tribes whether peacefully or forcefully. I can't wait to start again with Six Ages! The art looks great and the story seems very well-written so far, so stoked!

Game is complete trash, i am lucky that i bought this for lower price, casue its waste of money. After few years your clan is unable to feed themselves, while your advisors tell you that you have enought pasture lands and crop fields and you cant do more of them in the screen order. What is more you cant win even one battle even if you outnumber the enemy and every decision you make in mid game is complete disaster. All the time i have fewer and fewer number of people and sources even that i have blessing of the dieties which are helping in this, so i completely dont know what to do make them more. You dont have instructions, just completely nothing and your advisors are useless. I stronglt recommend you not to buy this game.
