Silver

Another fantasic classic added on GOG, worth a buy and play.

When I was young, my friend recommended this game to me. One day he went home to pick the game but unfortunately our homeclass teacher intercepted him. The teacher found the game, due to the strict school policy on no-games, the game was taken away. I got blamed by the teacher too. For some reason, I always wanted to play this game, for almost 20 years now. And finally I bought it on GoG and I found a lot of joy playing it, not just because of a memory, but it is really good.

I played Silver when I was 16 back in 2000 first, and I must say, after I played many games since then, that even though the graphics might be a bit outdated nowadays, this is a game with a great atmosphee that draws you in immediately. The voice acting and music are simply great and almost unparalleled by any other game and the 2D sceneries are really well made and let you feel to be entirely part of the story, even more than many games that are fully 3D. So - if you have not played Silver yet - give it a try! It is definetely one of the rare hidden gems!

However, this is still one of the best action-adventure games ever made

I remember playing the demo that I got from a gaming magazine (came with a CD) and I instantly feel in love with it. Awesome graphics, great controls and diversity, superb soundtrack and all the RPG elements you need at that time. What it made from great to Epic, is the atmosphere. Just the first time you arrive at the Library of Gno, the music, the location... beautiful. Years passed before I had the change to finish it, as most versions were bugged and you could not pass a big door, because of a stupid bell ! After more than 5 years I finally got my hands on a version with a fix and continued my adventure. I could not express my enthusiasm once I passed that that f.....ing bell. Such a mysterious and beautiful game. GoG making this game work easy on any platform is amazing. I don't know how they did it, but Kudos to them. I might be nostalgic, but this game will always remain in my heart, forever, as one of the most fascinating journeys of my life.
