Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack

I have Mac Mini Core 2 Duo with 2GB of ram and it ran great. Was just as addicting as it was years ago. Was worried it might not work, but considering didn't get to bed till 3am last night I'd say it is working great. One of the best "Civ" games ever. Even after all these years the graphics and gameplay don't feel old. This is a true treasure GOG has made available again.

Have been playing a lot but periodic crashes of PC interface occur which a reboot would fix. Has finally crashed and reboot doesn't fix

This game was so ahead of its time. If the civilization games were like this they would be so much better. Your not stuck with whatever unit they give you , you can make your own! That way a guy on a horse doesn't kill your tank...thanks civ

For five years (from the original game's release until 1999 until Rome: Total War came out in 2004), this was my answer to "what's the greatest game of all-time?" It takes the Civilization formula, turns it up to eleven, then shoots it into space. A masterpiece that remains the gold standard for its style of game and is just as playable 14 years later as it was on release day.

This is #3 on my all time Civ series games there is aspects to this civ game that I wish carried forward into the modern Civ V series (such as underwater cities as one) Great game and must play for any Civ fanatic
