Description
Seven: The Days Long Gone is an open-world, isometric role-playing game, in which you play as Teriel, a master thief sent on a mission that will shake the foundations of the Vetrall Empire. Free roam across the vibrant prison island of Peh, and choose whether to help or exploit its many citizens.

If there’s one place that Master Thief Teriel avoids at all costs, it’s the prison island of Peh. But when a daring heist takes an unexpected turn, Teriel finds himself shackled on an airship bound for the infamous island. To make matters worse, the daemon inside his head makes it very clear that the thief will never leave unless he does exactly what he’s told.

In Seven: The Days Long Gone you play as Teriel. You must use all of your cunning and clandestine skills to escape a web of deceit and betrayal, and ultimately survive Peh.

EXPLORE A VIBRANT OPEN WORLD FROM AN ISOMETRIC PERSPECTIVE

From the moment you set foot on Peh, the island is open to you. Sneak, run, climb, and fight your way across a colourful array of environments. You are free to explore wherever you please; only security checkpoints, monster-infested areas, and dangerous factions stand in your way!

CHOOSE YOUR PLAYSTYLE

As a master thief, Teriel is well versed in the art of stealth. Get the jump on enemies from behind and above, fool everyone with cunning disguises, or just use the environment to keep out of sight entirely. If things go wrong, however, or you’re feeling impatient, there’s nothing to stop you from letting loose with an array of devastating weapons, and unleashing deadly magical skills upon your foes.

ENCOUNTER A MYRIAD OF COLOURFUL CHARACTERS

Encounter an array of people, from despondent slaves and prisoners through to rich socialites. Just be sure to keep an eye out for the two major factions on Peh: the Biomancers and the Technomagi. In such a desperate place, there are many who will take any help they can get. Choose whether to help or exploit Peh’s inhabitants, but be prepared for the consequences.

UNCOVER AN EPIC STORY OF DECEIT AND TREACHERY

On Peh, everyone has an agenda, and often there’s more than meets the eye. Dive into a world teeming with distrust, and crushed between the machinations of mighty powers. Work with the daemon that has possessed you to complete a mission of utmost importance. The fate of the Vetrall Empire rests in your hands.

The camera destroys the entire game

It's actually a pretty good concept, but the isometric camera destroys any sense of your location in the world and it breaks the primary gameplay mechanic of stealth. The world is very complex with a lot of elevation changes. The parkour mechanics usually work pretty well, but it's impossible to know where you're going or how to get there when there's constant obstructions in the way you can't see in game due to the camera angle, or on the map due to it being way too low res and missing any detail. There's a constant feeling of being lost even in familiar areas. The game also doesn't show custom map markers on the minimap in game... so it has literally no purpose. It breaks stealth gameplay since you can't see ahead of you and enemies can see you from off screen. The only counter for this is to constantly use scan mode which is a really bad solution to a problem they could fix by reducing vision cones. There's also a slew of other janky minor annoyances that ultimately culminated in me just quitting the game.

pretty good

it would be better to have the option to indicate if the objective is above or below the current area, as well as the opacity of terrain above Terriel. I got the bad ending but I did not have the motivation for another playthrough, if ever there is a sequel, I hope the game devs imrpove on the game.

Changelog from enhanced edition missing?

This game has all the components that would make it wonderful game, but ends up being sothing much less due to clumsy movent and general fell that it is not done. Furthermore, being marketed as 'enhanced edition', it does very bad job in telling you what was enhanced - there is no changelog for enhanced edition at all. I get that we got few new quests, but I doubt if there were any general Quality of Life improvements that would make this game not as terrible mess.

Extremely entertaining

It's kind of like a blend of game mechanics; A bit of Assassin's Creed in the parkour verticality, a bit of Commandos-esque stealth tactics and a little bit action-y, too. I like the world building, the aesthetics are very atmospheric and the voice acting ranges from "quite good" to "outstanding" - one character in particular is excellent (voiced by the same terrific voice actor who brought Marcus Cromwell to life in the excellent "Nexus - The Jupiter Incident") but I particularly liked hearing a range of accents from across the UK (Brummies and Geordies don't get nuchal representation!) There was enough dry, sarcastic humour strewn throughout that during my first few hours playing, I laughed out loud a few times. the combat is last resort, but still felt appropriately weighty with typical light/heavy/dodge mechanics and the sound design is pretty good, too. Some of the music is absolutely outstanding. I'm really enjoying it, but I'm a sucker for RPGs. I recommend it very highly indeed.

Isometric mix of "Thief" & "Dishonored"

Ok so this game is an odd one. Its like an isometric stealth ARPG in a cyberpunk setting and with apparent influence from Assassins Creed and good old Thief trilogy eventhough not on the same level of stealth depth as Thief trilogy was. This game is more focused on action than stealth in comparison to Thief and Dishonored. It has semi open world but it feels like there is not that much to do. There is some lack of direction from what I experienced and I kinda felt lost. Now, I don't mind a game that doesn't hold my hand..No, I actually like such sort of game but in this one, I just felt some lack of direction on certain parts and something I can't quite figure out felt rather boring. Like there is something missing that makes the game still feel alittle lacking. May be some more polish. Some more gameplay definition. The protagonist is kinda interesting. Game story starts strong with some dark themes like public executions and such but as I dwell further in game, story started to feel less and less interesting to me. It just gets less engaging I guess. In general, its a great game and there is definitely fun to be had. Its on my good stealth games list but it doesn't compare to Thief, Dishonored nor Hitman, imo. I can say it feels like abit janky Assassins Creed game with more focus on stealth. If you don't mind janky games or isometric view and love stealth games then I recommend you give it a try. 4/5 because, imo, its good but not masterpiece. 5 goes for masterpiece. :)
