Description
In the near future, during their first interstellar travels, humans encounter a great evil that has been roaming the galaxy for the last few eons. This evil being is an incarnation of the last ancient immortals called Notorious Mental. Mental has set forth to wipe out the Human Race, just for fun, as it has with all the other civilizations in galactic history.

But the enemy has underestimated Earth’s defenses, a secret weapon left by the Sirians, an ancient race which fought against Mental on Earth in ancient times. This device, called the Timelock, will enable Special Forces veteran Sam 'Serious' Stone to return to the time of ancient Egypt and assassinate Mental, saving Mankind from extinction.

In a world where cyberpunk meets fantasy and hi-tech devices are mixed with black magic and psychic powers, Sam travels from the beautiful world of ancient Egypt through many diverse planets, confronting hordes of Mental's hideous minions on his way to the final showdown at Notorious Mental's lair.

Best SS game then original SS2.

The first entry of Serious Sam offers well built flat maps, Good Item placements and stupidly well thought out punishments. Game has the right lengh and great difficulty scalling by adding enemies and damage / health. Multiplayer offers saving and loading where all players get re-added to the lobby. Second Encounter really turns the dials to 20 and is no fun already on hard with additional 2 higher difficulties. Xbox Serious Sam collection really is great too and unaltered. HD versions simplify some parts of geometry which needed rocket jumps and made some maps shorter or better. Most of it says the same. Can not confirm whether the HD games have save and load in online play. A real treath from 480-728p depending on preference. Only bad thing is the missing directional audio.

Seriously serious...

Don't ask why nor why do it, just shoot and find those wonderful secrets. When there wasn't any good fun in the world yet, Sam appeared and it all started! Great locations, great shooting fun, great maps filled with secrets and additional stages, this is how games used to be made. If you love FPS you have to play it, if you don't love them you have to play it too, it's a classic like no other! Buy it and have some Serious fun!

Awesome game

Wanna have some fun with no complicated storyline to take away the stress from the day? This is the game to go! Graphics are outdated, but it is an amazing game that is a lot of fun and works on almost every PC since the requirements are really low. A total worthy classic. Happy to play it after so long time and it is as much fun as back in the days when it was released. Totally recommend it and the price is really good nowadays!

Timeless classic.

Played it a long time ago the first time. It was one of the best then. Fun, action packed. Now replaying it brings memories of old days back.
