In the near future, during their first interstellar travels, humans encounter a great evil that has been roaming the galaxy for the last few eons. This evil being is an incarnation of the last ancient immortals called Notorious Mental. Mental has set forth to wipe out the Human Race, just for fun, as it has with all the other civilizations in galactic history.
But the enemy has underestimated Earth’s defenses, a secret weapon left by the Sirians, an ancient race which fought against Mental on Earth in ancient times. This device, called the Timelock, will enable Special Forces veteran Sam 'Serious' Stone to return to the time of ancient Egypt and assassinate Mental, saving Mankind from extinction.
In a world where cyberpunk meets fantasy and hi-tech devices are mixed with black magic and psychic powers, Sam travels from the beautiful world of ancient Egypt through many diverse planets, confronting hordes of Mental's hideous minions on his way to the final showdown at Notorious Mental's lair.
Fight off wave after wave of countless cannon fodder and save mankind
Addictive, fast-paced gameplay topped with cheesy, Duke Nukem-style one-liners
Good level design with items, bottlenecks and cover in just the right places
Goodies
in-game soundtrack

This game may have some years but still is as good as new! the humor, the action, the maps, the secrets, the goals! the perfect recipe for a 10/10 game! :D
First game in Serious Sam franchise is still really good time with good soundtrack, iconic enemies and fun weapons. All levels are fun to play and pretty to look at. Took me under 5h to finish this so it's short and sweet, easy to replay thanks to not taking too much time. It's long just about right. It's one of the best old school FPS games you can play.
This is the single greatest co-op shooter experience in history. No friendly fire, unlimited ammo, enemies everywhere, people runnign around with giant ship cannons launching cannonballs everywhere, the final level running through that giant valley towards the pyramid while that huge thing chases you - there's nothing like it. I wish we could go back to this kind of design and gameplay. Single player is great, coop multiplayer is on another level.
This is easily the best shooter I have ever played. I first saw this game as a $5 demo cd at walmart. I didn't have much money but wanted a new game to play, so I figured, why not? I was so impressed with it, I went out to get the full game, which was only 10 bucks at the time. During my multiple game plays, I have not encountered one bug. If there are any bugs, they are't noticable to where they affect the game play. Crotream did an amazing job with everything. I even think the soundtrack is one of the best and sometimes listen to it while I work. I was so totally hooked on this game that I get anything and everything that Croteam has made, including Talos Principle (2014 first person puzzle game). If it has been made from Croteam, it is worth 5 stars.
