One of my favourite 3DFX games
OH, I remember getting my voodoo card and playing this game. Awesome graphics for the time. I knew how great graphics would become in the future and this was the beginning. So much fun. Today I still comment on the game when I see dark cloudy skies!

Arcade defined
I started with Screamer Rally, which is like an addon for this game, and loved it so much that I got Screamer 2 later. Gameplay was arcade, great graphics, colors, differents locations, not very serious, just a fun game... this is what defined arcade racer for me! Thank you GOG, I love you. Now Screamer Rally... pweez :)

It has such a good "feel"
Ignore the older graphics. This game has just such an amazing feel. The ways the cars handle is undoubtedly not that realistic but for an arcade racer, this is very well designed. Steering round corners is something you will fail horribly at to start with but then after a few games you will get the hang of it and be mumbling under your breath "that's the best you've ever taken that corner" while bemused family members look at you strangely.

Still my favourite racing game
This was one of the very first games I bought after buying my first own computer. It came in a bundle with several other games and I still have the light blue disc among my other CD-ROMs from that time. The graphics are wonderful and the sound is good, but what I really remember is the music. I have ripped the audio tracks from the CD just to be able to listen to the pounding music. It really fits a game like this and to this day that is how I want the music in a racing game to sound like. Learning to manoeuvre you car takes some time and the tracks aren't forgiving of mistakes, but when you get the hang of it. Boy! No other game for years could measure up to that standard and subsequently I either sucked at other racing games or found them way too easy, because Screamer 2 demanded something of the player and in return gave you a feel for the car that was unrivalled by other games for many years. On top of that, the graphics and the music really make you feel the speed. I heartily recommend this to everyone. This is truly a pearl.
