Tried it's GOG version(offline)

Tried this game's GOG version and we don't need Epic Game Store accounts to play it(unlike even it's Steam version) as long as you install this game with GOG's offline installers

Epic launcher not require but a bad port

First, the game is not installing Epic launcher. It's EOS, which is for cross-play MP. You can refuse to install it, and play the game fine. I'm positive the other version required Galaxy unless you did LAN play. People's opinions on whether needing EOS/Galaxy for MP is DRM a mixed bag. It's just weird to see people flat-out lying about EOS being required. Besides that, this game is lousy PC port. Many of the bugs from the original Saints Row IV are present here. Yes, that means Deep Silver Volition released Saints Row IV: Re-Elected without fixing bugs from the original release. Some bugs I encountered on both versions: 1. Saints would not spawn in the vehicles I picked for them. 2. Saints guardsmen will not spawn at all 3. Calling Saints and Gingerbread Homies would not spawn. 4. Events would not trigger on some missions. 5. My character's hair would disappear randomly on the spaceship. These issues are on GOG and Steam as well. Overall, this is a disappointing PC port.

200 Proof Fun.

I gave this series a pass for a very long time... and I was completely, utterly wrong to. Saints Row started out as a GTA clone, but it has turned into so much more than that, and SR4 is something *very* special. Not only is it a riff on the entire open-world genre, it's a startlingly well-written comedic grand tour of its own heritage. This is a game that knows it's a game, and actively wants you to have as much fun with it as humanly possible. SR4 ditches the more problematic elements of previous Sants Row games (and the open-world crime genre in general) by eliminating the cringeworthy attempts to make light of things that just aren't funny. At the same time, it doubles down on the best qualities of its predecessors: the freedom to be what you want to be, to do what you want to do, and to do so shamelessly while laughing maniacally and blowing up everything in sight. Fans of self-referential and fourth-wall-breaking humor will not be disappointed. Fans of scenery-chewing villains and snarky, vice-loving anti-heroes will also go home satisfied. SR4 delivers one other noteworthy experience, and it would be as criminal as the game's amoral protagonists not to mention: It is the best Matrix game that's never been made (because no licensed spin-off has ever delivered half of what this game does). You get Neo-esque virtual superpowers very early in the game, and their progression is both rewarding and satisfying until you've basically turned yourself into a simulated god. It is immensely satisfying just to traverse the open-world environment by dashing down a crowded street, scattering pedestrians and vehicles in your wake, before sprinting up the side of a building and leaping into the sky... gliding majestically over the city, swooping between canyons of skyscrapers, scaling floating alien towers... and then lunging towards the ground, fist-first, and devastating everything around you in a purple-tinged nuclear blast. It is exactly as fun as it sounds.

Buggy

"Waiting on Target" Thanks for the bugs, can't complete certain aspects of the game because the target(s) never get marked. Searching around reveals this has been an on-going problem with the game for years without resolution. Some posted work-arounds don't seem to work (restarting, and attempting to complete via co-op doesn't work either). Essentially mobs continue to spawn over and over again and the target is simply never marked or never spawns. The only real fix is to delete your save and start all over again from the beginning. No thanks. Already a dozen hours into it. Game has also crashed multiple times on my high end pc, and when it does it locks up the entire system or hides the mouse so I'm unable to task manager kill the process and I'm forced to sign completely out of Windows. It's even crashed GOG Galaxy a few times. I would not purchase this game again on any system. In it's core I can tell it's a fun game, but on my end it's marred with technical issues which makes me regret purchasing it in the first place.

I used to own Saints Row IV

I have seen people complain about the Epic Store issue and how it's not DRM free. They're right, but this isn't GOG's fault. God, I loved Saints Row IV. It was my vibe of fun insanity. Then (after Deep Silver bit it) the company that bought the franchise decided to streamline everything... to the Epic Store version. I was going to buy it from GOG but this is the Epic version as well. If somebody has a physical copy (HA!) of the old hotness and cared to send it up to these guys, I for one would gladly jump through the extra hoops for a version that isn't ruled over by Epic. I doubt I'm alone in this. As far as the game itself goes, the DLC were always suitably outrageous and the pricing was always suitably NON-outrageous. If the old hotness were ever salvaged from the Hot Mess, I'd recommend it highly. Again, I doubt I'm alone in this.
