Ruiner

Bought it for 5.00,- so I shouldnt complain, right? Two stars for engaging story and atmosphere. Controls are totally not tight (compared to Hades for example). Endless walkways where nothing happens. Not sure if the game is difficult or the controls are just weird. One of the most annoying bossfights... you will be happy when its over! (I turned diff to easy just to get it over with)... but hey...guess what...same boss comes back later with same annoying patterns. Turned to easy right from the beginning. Shame really, but no... just no...

Great game! visual side is amazing, soundtrack is perfect, action took the best from the Hotline game and add new functions and sidesto the gameplay. Some violence (a little...), blood, explosions... What else do you need?) Devolver continue to delight us with such games. 5/5

A nice beat-em up Polish game with great art style and music. I do not really feel the urge to revisit the game itself after playing, but the soundtrack and initial moments of the game are certainly worth the time and money as it just sucks the player in and does not stop in the high speed fight. However, towards the end it felt a little slower and repetitive. What I also felt as disbalaned were the boss fights which repeatedly launched me against a boss which I was not able to beat while for the other advesaries I did not have any problems. This can be, however, mitigated by a good choice of equipment as you can rearange your skills even mid combat.

I adored the visual style of this game, the graphics were stunning. It's kind of like top-down Doom. I would give it a 5 star rating if I didn't come across a couple bugs toward the end. Subtitles in cutscenes did not show up and there was no voice acting, so I was very confused and only noticed that there are supposed to be subtitles when I watched a youtube video of the ending, because I had no idea what to make of it. There was also a bug at the end where a dialog would overlay a cutscene repeatedly and I could not watch it. Otherwise, it's a fun game.

I thought I would like it more than I did judging from the trailers. The artstyle is actually *too* clean for my taste and the city acts more like a hub to get to your next level rather than being part of the world. The combat was decent but it aws hard to tell what's going on sometimes because of the art style and animations. I really wasn't a fan of the skill tree either.
