Ruiner

The game is entertaining although short, but for the price, I wasn't expecting a long game. However I could see them extending it, if they had the budget. It's fast paced and I enjoy that so much! Being a worker and not having time for too many slow games, a fast paced action game à la Hotline Miami was refreshing :D The thing I really found myself wishing for: being able to buy blades and keep them forever! Throughtout the game I found myself relying more on blades than on the guns, so I enjoyed all of the blades the game offered me for a limited time (durability). The default blade (Nerve) is not as entertaining nor as cool, so for me that's what's missing in Ruiner.

I am not a fan of the genre per se, i.e. Hotline Miami, but Ruiner positively evolves the formula with a fluid skill-tree, that can be swapped on the fly and greatly influence the outcome of a fight. However, what really drew me into this game is its overall presentation through setting, art, graphic design and music. It is clearly inspired by some of the most notable cyberpunk & anime stories of the 1980s and 1990s, culminating in a very nostalgic yet refreshing mix. The seedy and gritty hub area was a particularly intriguing setting in lore, design and music. So much so, I'd be very happy about a much more RPG-focused type of game in this world. The graphic-design is oppresively bold, red and flashing, fitting this game like a tailored suit. The cherry on top is Susumu Hirasawa's Paranesian Circle being part of the official soundtrack.

TLDR; What a great game, from art style to an amazing soundtrack and rock solid gameplay. This game is excellent. Looking at the title of this game and initial screens I wasn't quite sure as to what I would be getting into. Having played this game and wandered the steaming streets of this game talking to rich NPC after rich NPC I can truly say that this game is a treat. From hacking cats in a dimly lit alley to visiting a mechanic for body mods this cyberpunk masterpiece is a true gem. Now don't get me wrong this game isn't all chit chat and cat hacking, it is also fueled with brutal action and fast paced levels that serve to push the storyline forward. If Akira was crossed with Ghost in the Shell and they lived in a Blade Runner universe this game would fit the part. I loved the city being filled with NPCs who spoke everything from Korean to English and the bright neon Mandarin advertisements illuminating the filthy gutters and wet streets.

Is great as my expect, good music and play excite me. Translate is best i even seem in game, you are not good at english also can have fun in this game(such as me). Cyberpunk style is very nice, Ruiner make me fall in love with this style. 这个游戏高于了我的预期，特别爽快的音乐以及气氛体验不错。翻译也是我见过的数一数二好的，英语不好也能在这个游戏里玩的开心。这个游戏使我喜欢上了赛博朋克。

This game oozes dark cyberpunk (dystopia?) in every aspect the visuals, dialogue, lore, gameplay, music, story & characters. Rengkok the city where you will spend your time when you're not killing it's small that's a good thing because Reikon (the DEV team) do some cool things with this the city being small makes it easy and quick to explore after an outting. If you pay attention to the city as you play the game smaller stories that don't involve you (some may) will be going on as well as how your outings effect the city and those that dwell there, also there a some quests you can get and do in the city. Gameplay is fast and brutal you're fast as well as your enemies you'll be picking up guns left and right and poppin some suckers with weapons suckers drop. Tips if you're feeling like you've hit a wall switch up your abilities the game wants you to try different things and Reikon made it easy for you to do so and with so many abilities you can play the game in completely different ways the gameplay has lots of depth and options. This game is gorgeous I can't thank the Devs enough for making this game 3D rendered instead of pixel or something I dont hate pixel games but it's really nice to be able to see the game without haveing to fill in blanks with my imagination especially since it's so rare the we get a cyberpunk game. The soundtrack for this game is amazing and while playing the game you'll probably want to buy it and I recemmond you do so but something to note the soundtrack does not include all the tracks I know there are two missing "DUEL 35" by "Zamilska" and "Island Door (Paranesian Circle)" by "Susumu Hirasawa" you can find "Zamilska" on bandcamp (BTW great place to buy music) .These are my thoughts 6+ hours in it's worth the money in my opinion I just love it I've been unable to shut up about it. P.S. I want to be Puppy for Halloween but I don't think that mask is possible.
