All-time classic
RCT2 and the original RCT are all-time classic games, and RCT2 is only further enhanced by the now-stellar reimplementation OpenRCT2, which, among other things, has reimplemented the game's park save format to drastically raise object limits and allow for much greater control over the look of your parks. Both games still have large and active communities to this day.

Use OpenRCT for modern compatibility!
There's a lot of reviews talking about the game not working well on modern computers. The open source project OpenRCT is designed to address these issues -- and it adds some modern QOL features on top. It's free, but does require this game to run (due to IP issues with the art in the game, it's not able to be as standalone as OpenTTD is).

Basically like the first one
But way better! This game has the same feel of the original, but does way more. More coasters, more parks, and ESPECIALLY the dedicated coaster/scenario builder.

One of the best classic games. Ever.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 has proven itself to be one of the best classic games out there. It is also one of the very few games who improve upon its predecessor without destroying it. It's actually almost the same, just better. If you don't own it, please do your self a favor and pick it up this instant.
