RoboCop: Rogue City is a pitch-perfect throwback to the action movies of the ‘80s. It’s over-the-top violence with charm, largely well put together but rough on the edges. Most importantly, it's a fun way to spend time in a beloved fictional universe that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Blasting at goons as an unstoppable walking machine remains as extremely entertaining as it seemed on the big screen, thanks in part to an impressive commitment to capturing the look and feel of the original film. Mixing in elements like routine police work and side quests does a great job changing the pace, too. Even if it’s not the best example of visual fidelity, and prone to some bugs along the way, that love of RoboCop shines through. This is a solid B movie of a video game, which is exactly what the source material demands.

Even if Rogue City had started to rust a little towards the end of its lengthy campaign, its surprisingly in-depth shooting and roleplaying mechanics, love of the source material, and keen understanding of what makes RoboCop so great in the first place has made it one of the biggest surprises of 2023 for me. In a year full of absolute bangers, make sure you spend some time in Detroit.

Good game Great for fans of robocop
this is everything you wanted from a robocop game everything feels like robocop you feel like a tank and the world and character are faithfully recreated game play feels like robocop you are a slow moving tank the level up system and gun custamization are great not to deep i hghly recomend this game its not to long i beat it just under 6 hours the stroy is great and kept me invested in it the entire way i like that you can make chises that affect how ppl see you and those choises affect the world only reason i dont give it a 5 star is it gets a little repeditive at the end

Between shootouts, the game unfolds through dialogue-heavy moments that reveal a surprisingly emotional and layered RoboCop universe. Some might find the pacing slow, but for lore-lovers, it’s gold. Murphy’s Humanity Performing mundane tasks like scanning IDs isn’t just filler—it reflects RoboCop’s lingering humanity. Citizens notice him, react to him, even grow to respect Murphy as a person rather than a product. That emotional arc is what makes playing him so special. Performance & Bugs It’s visually stunning but demanding. Players with mid-range setups may hit a snag—NPC mouths bug out unless view distance is set to “far,” which breaks immersion in a game so focused on conversations. Combat & Rhythm Expect combat, but expect repetition. It’s structured in a loop—dialogue, action, repeat—which won’t appeal to everyone but serves the story well. Characters Worth Discovering There’s real value in exploring beyond the main quest. The city’s packed with memorable side characters and moments that reward curiosity. Rushing through would mean missing out on the game’s strongest storytelling. The Identity Conflict RoboCop’s internal struggle is portrayed subtly but powerfully. Watching others shift from seeing him as a machine to respecting him as Alex Murphy adds meaningful depth to your choices and actions. Epic Score & Snarky Replies The soundtrack? Absolutely epic. Good business is where you find it.
If you think Robocop is one of the greatest movies of all time, then you will love this game. You'll love this game even if you don't know what the movie is. If nothing else, I have yet to see an DEI woke garbage in this game, so it has that going for it. Enjoy.

Game breaking bug within the first hour.
No obvious fix, besides reloading an older save. Real easy bug to trigger(completing 2 quickie sidequests before police meeting on chap 2 Isolated incident, i guess?) Your mouse controls no longer work after meeting, you cant look around, no head movement. i understand its a low budget studio, but the game has been out for awhile now, i sure dont want to bother playing the game anymore if i constantly have to worry about such easy to trigger and game breaking bugs.
