Rise of the Triad (2013)

I've only beaten the first three levels and so far it's everything I could ever want. The game is one big tribute to best of mid-to-late 90s FPS and Acrade goodness. Highly rewarding gameplay. And although repetitive, satisfaction is granteed

Forget COD and other boring clones around these days. This game offers up good old fashioned fun in spades. It is unforgiving though so don't play this if you have zero patience for dying. (Especially on harder skill levels) as there are no quicksaves at all. Basically die before a checkpoint and you go right back to the previous one. Graphics are so smooth and colourful . I tried running this on 2560x1440 just using a laptop with an external monitor and it was still smooth.

It is a good retro game in new clothes. Not the best game or graphic but an ok trip back to the 90's. Worth 15$ for sure :)

A total classic, this is a game no true gamer should miss out on. Once upon a time, there was a magical trend in PC gaming. Games were designed for real men and real men only. There were no homosexuals or women, and there were certainly no casual cut scenes or hand-holding babby coddling. You were simply thrust into a world of ruin and expected to use your wit, skills, and greasy mouse and keyboard to fight your way out. While Rise of the Triad does have women, it doesn't have compromise. Every single level is adrenaline, pulse-pounding action with other-the-top fun. Never since the late 90s have I experienced a joy of this caliber. The technical aspect of this game is excellent as well, requiring as few as TWO 760s to never drop below 30fps! What a deal! If you find this game on sale, I would suggest you BUY BUY BUY!

I wont say it's perfect, but this game really is the epitome of video gaming right now. Get the family and friends over and have some good old fashioned home style fun on this new and innovative platforming (?) adventure game for your PCc.
