It's unforgivable to make so laggy main menu. I had to wait for dozens of seconds between menu screens. Bad port of a good game.

Pause menu TAKES FOREVER to load from my M.2 SSD! Why the mandatory 3 credit per game per play? I own this game so I should have infinite quarters to play with!! And what's is with the game pause menu when I ran out of lives??? In the Arcades it just have the countdown on the bottom left or right so the game continue on where you left. This is a massive downgrade from the Arcade experience! If anyone wants to play properly, MEME is the only way to go! This game selling as it is, is a huge let down. Don't bother buying it.

Another awful port by DotEmu, it freezes, lags and is buggy. The menus are a total joke, the longer you use them the slower they are. Don't buy this game, or any game by DotEmu.

I only got introduced to the Raiden series recently, but it's easy to see why it's considered a classic: solid shoot 'em up action with plenty of challenge, a lot of variety in ships and powerups, music that gets you pumped and nicely detailed 2D graphics that hold up extremely well even now. The lack of extra's may be a bit disappointing, and at $10 it's not the cheapest classic SHMUP on GOG--but for fans of the genre, Raiden Legacy still offers a lot of bang for your buck.

I can appreciate the idea of providing the games in their original format, except when that format was based around squeezing quarters out of you. Having a finite number of continues is a convention that has absolutely no place in modern gaming; if you want to keep that in to test your skill, that's fine, but you should also have the option to turn that off. Besides that major drag, there are several issues with the menu setup, mainly: - the menu's 3-second music loop becomes grating almost immediately - the game itself is completely controlled with the keyboard, but you cannot navigate the menus without using the mouse, which gets annoying when you play for a while If I hadn't paid under $2 for this I probably would have wanted a refund...
